Versus To Televise Cotto-Malignaggi Bout

(Nov. 29, 2006) – VERSUS Fight Night this Thursday (9 p.m. ET) will feature Miguel Cotto’s electrifying 12-round unanimous victory over Paulie Malignaggi at Madison Square Garden this past June. This Saturday, he challenges Carlos Quintana for the vacant WBA welterweight title in Atlantic City..

The Cotto-Malignaggi main event held on June 10 headlined an exciting pay-per-view card promoted by Top Rank Boxing at Madison Square Garden. The victory was Cotto’s sixth successful defense of his WBO crown. In addition to the Cotto-Malignaggi bout, VERSUS Fight Night will also show Bobby Pacquiao’s knockout of Kevin Kelley and the 2nd round TKO by Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. over Aaron Drake in their super welterweight clash that were also part of the pay-per-view show.
