By Moncayo Blackbull – October 23, 2006 – Donald Camarena is set and ready to take on the current WBC International and NABF champion Herman Ngoudjo on Saturday, October 28th. The fight will take place at the Casino of Lac Leamy, Quebec Canada with both titles on the line. Camarena knows what’s at stake going into this double championship contest against Ngoudjo and has had an extensive training camp. Support coming from all parts of Colorado and New Mexico..

The Ngoudjo camp is rather confident they will be victorious against Camarena, as they are looking forward to a fight against Jose Luis Castillo or Junior Witter and have been diligently working on signing such a contest.
When asked about Ngoudjo focusing beyond Camarena, trainer and Manager Aurelio Martinez had this to say.
“Everybody takes care of their business in their own way, if Herman wants to overlook Donald then that’s his business. But the future begins after the fight, so unless he has a crystal ball, he should be focusing on what’s in front of him now.”
“Regardless of what you read in the Canadian papers, we know Herman is preparing well for this fight. You can bet your bottom dollar we are! Herman’s not the fighter Donald is and we intent to prove it on October 28th.”
Camarena has dedicated this fight to fallen comrade Vicente “Picosito” Garcia. Garcia was shot and killed as he sat in the passenger’s seat of a friend’s car. The car and body of Picosito was riddled with bullets. A senseless act of violence by a jealous and envious person(s) has taken the life of a promising young fighter, Vicente was 20 years old.
