The Rise of Warriors Boxing!

HOLLYWOOD, FL, February 19 – When O’Neil Bell’s vaunted right hand crashed into Jean-Marc Mormeck and sent him to the canvas for the ten count on January 7, 2006, it not only brought ‘The Supernova’ recognition as the Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion of the World, it also symbolized the rise of Warriors Boxing Promotions as not only a quality contender in the business of boxing promotion, but as an undisputed force in the sport..

Launched in 2003, the Hollywood, Florida based firm operates under a simple philosophy – bring the best boxers in the world to fight fans, match them up in competitive bouts, and in doing so help re-establish the sport of boxing for a new generation. This unwavering standard has allowed Warriors Boxing to thrive in a business where only the strong survive.

With a series of successful pay-per-view shows and packed houses to its credit, the Warriors business model is working wonders in a sport that was sorely in need of the innovation and energy that the company brings to the table.

When it comes down to it though, a promotional company is only as good as the fighters and fights it promotes. Warriors Boxing has delivered on all fronts, with outstanding bouts such as Bell-Rothmann, Bell-Brown, Quiles-Cherry, Urango-Eason, and Ibragimov-Whitaker delighting fight fans in 2005.

2006 looks even brighter, as the Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion of the World, O’Neil Bell, defends his crown against the top challengers in the world. One of those challengers is Bell’s stable mate Dale ‘Cowboy’ Brown, who battled with ‘The Supernova’ in 2005 in one of the most talked about fights of the year.

But that’s not all in terms of the world-class boxers on the Warriors team. Former Light Heavyweight World Champion and 2004 Fighter of The Year Glen Johnson is the latest addition to the roster, and beginning with his February fight against Richard Hall, ‘The Road Warrior’ is intent on regaining his crown. Lightweight Ricky Quiles is another boxer who is knocking on the door of a world title shot, and the number one IBF contender will finally get his chance to shine in 2006.

Boxing can’t survive without young stars to keep it going and Warriors has that end of the business covered with Junior Welterweight bomber and top contender Juan Urango and his fellow Colombian Edison Miranda, a rising force in the Middleweight Division. Add Russian cousins Sultan and Timor Ibragimov to the mix in a Heavyweight Division in need of some exciting new blood, as well as top prospects Danny Jimenez and Jesus Pabon, and boxing fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming years from this sensational six, especially considering their combined record of 87-0-2 with 67 knockouts.

It’s amazing, but it’s only been three years since Warriors Boxing Promotions came onto the scene. Yet now it’s obvious that they’re here to stay. Boxing fans can certainly breathe a sigh of relief that there is a company working tirelessly to bring the best in the sport on a consistent basis. It’s a new standard for boxing promotion that will put the sport back where it belongs, on the world stage – finally.
