Stewart – Kopitko Tops Guilty Card on Feb 24

17.02.06 – Veteran super middleweights Willie Stewart of Las Vegas and Vitali Kopitko of Miami, Fla., are featured in the 10-round main event on the nationally and internationally televised “Guilty Fight Night” card promoted by Guilty Boxing and 2 Feathers Promotions and sponsored by Xyience Friday, Feb. 24, at the Morongo Casino, Resort and Spa in Cabazon, Calif. The bout is a rematch; Stewart took a 10-round unanimous decision over Kopitko Dec. 1, 2001, in Las Vegas, Nev..

Both Stewart, who has a record of 21-2 with 12 knockouts, and Kopitko, who has a mark of 24-7 with nine knockouts, have held a title. Stewart was the United States Boxing Association super middleweight champion and Kopitko was the World Boxing Federation Intercontinental 168-pound champ.

Stewart is a 34-year-old southpaw; Kopitko, 36, originally is from the Ukraine.

Guilty Boxing’s “Guilty Fight Night” telecasts are seen live and on a tape basis throughout the United States and internationally on FOX.

Six-round bouts on the “Guilty Fight Night” card Feb. 24 include: heavyweight Arthur Cook of Las Vegas (10-1-1, 3 KOs) against an opponent to be determined; welterweight Alex Arzola of Van Nuys, Calif., (2-2, 0 KOs) against an opponent to be determined; and featherweight Saul Ochoa of Phoenix (2-2-1, 1 KO) against Luis Raul Galvan of North Las Vegas, Nev., (3-3, 2 KOs).

Four-round fights on the “Guilty Fight Night” card include: light heavyweight Jonathan Embry of Inglewood, Calif., (2-1-1, 1 KO) against Oscar Montano of Phoenix (1-3-1, 1 KO); featherweight Marvin Carrera of Wilmington, Calif., (3-0-1, 0 KOs) against Jorge Urbina of Los Angeles (1-1, 0 KOs); bantamweight Michael Franco of Riverside, Calif., (1-0, 0 KOs) against Danny Esquivel of Tucson, Ariz., (0-2); and flyweight Antonio Villareal of Riverside (2-1, 1 KO) against Misael Martinez of Los Angeles (Pro Debut).

The “Guilty Fight Night” card will be held in the ballroom on the second floor of the Morongo Casino, Resort and Spa. Doors open at 6 p.m. (Pacific) with the first fight starting at 7.
