Sam Peter: “Who’s Next?”

05.07.05 – “Who’s next?” asked a ferocious Samuel “The Nigerian Nightmare” Peter after vanquishing yet another opponent in brutal fashion. “Samuel Peter is ready to fight anybody,” said Duva Boxing President, Dino Duva. “We want the best names out there.” Duva says he was still a little unsure if his young, pulverizing puncher was ready for a title shot, but after watching him annihilate Taurus Sykes in two rounds Saturday night at the Events Center in Reno, those doubts are gone..

“After this fight, I’m convinced he’s ready for anybody in the world and as soon as possible.”

With the impressive victory, Peter is now the NABF, NABA and USBA Heavyweight champion. More importantly, he is also the power-punching contender on the lips of boxing fans worldwide.

“Samuel showed a lot of maturity and a lot of different looks,” adds manager Ivalyo Gotzev. “With this fight, there shouldn’t be any doubt he is the number one contender in the world. He’s definitely ready for a title challenge. The boxing world can’t afford to wait for another obscure or boring performance by a heavyweight champion. We want to clean up the division and give people something to cheer about again.”

Duva says he’s impressed with the way his fighter continues to deliver the kinds of fights that fans of heavyweight boxing have been starving for. “Once again, Samuel provided great power and excitement for the fans. He gave the whole world a great fireworks display on July 4 weekend. It’s not just that Sam is winning his fights (Peter is now 24-0 [21 KOs]); the reason he’s such a crowd pleaser is the way he wins them. He gives the fans exciting knockouts. And the minute he hurts somebody he goes in for the kill. Samuel smells blood like no one else in the heavyweight division in a very long time.”

“Who’s Next?” asks the terrifying puncher on a mission to bring prestige back to heavyweight boxing. Who will be the next to taste the nightmarish power of the Nigerian future king?
