Borquez-Flores Headlines “Guilty Fight Night Boxeo de Campeones”

20.01.05 – Undefeated super bantamweight Adalberto Borquez of Tijuana, B.C., meets Martin Flores of Mexico City in the 10-round main event on the nationally and internationally televised “Guilty Fight Night Boxeo de Campeones” professional card presented by Guilty Boxing in association with Tecate Friday, Jan. 28, at El Foro in Tijuana, Mexico..

This is a classic matchup between two youngsters, Borquez, a 20-year-old slugger with a record of 16-0 and 14 knockouts, and Flores, a slick and crafty 24-year-old boxer with a mark of 7-1-1 and two knockouts.

Also on the card is the pro debut of three-time Mexican national amateur champion Francisco Leal of Mexicali, B.C., against Emeterio Lopez of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, (0-3) in a four-round super bantamweight bout.

The semi-main event features unbeaten puncher Leopoldo Gonzalez of Tijuana, who has a record of 11-0 with nine knockouts, against Beto Flores of Tlanepantla, Mexico (6-5-2, 3 KOs) in an eight-round bantamweight bout.

Other fights on the nine-bout card include Omar Hernandez of Tijuana (7-4, 5 KOs) against Cristobal Elizalde of Los Mochis (6-2-2, 4 KOs) in a six-round super welterweight fight, Antonio Wong of Tijuana (8-4-1, 5 KOs) against Guillermo Vara of Tijuana (10-8-2, 4 KOs) in a
six-round lightweight bout, Marcos Geraldo Jr. of Tijuana (4-0, 4 KOs) against Juan Alcantar of Los Mochis in a four-round cruiserweight fight, Pavel Miranda of Tijuana (2-0, 1 KO) against an opponent to be determined in a four-round super lightweight bout, Jose Fernandez of Tijuana (Pro Debut) against Azael Loera of Los Mochis (2-3-2, 1 KO) in a four-round featherweight fight and Mauricio Villa of Tijuana (3-4, 2 KOs) against Marco Antonio Tovar of Tijuana
(3-4-1, 2 KOs) in a four-round bantamweight bout.

The card starts at 7 p.m. (Pacific) with gates to El Foro opening at 6.

Tickets are available at El Foro Friday, Jan. 28, and are priced at $5 and $10 (USD).

This is another in the ongoing series of “Guilty Fight Night Boxeo de Campeones” cards to be held in Tijuana. The innovative Guilty Boxing series was launched last May and has presented cards in Las Vegas, California and Arizona as well as Tijuana.
