Today the second kick-off press conference with Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury took place at the RTL media center in Cologne, Germany. With an attendance of 150 media representatives and 250 RTL associates, the TV broadcaster organized a first-class media event marking the ten year anniversary of close partnership with the Klitschko Management Group.

(April 27, 2016) – Fight week kicked-off Wednesday afternoon with media workouts for the long awaited rematch between former world champion “Vicious” Victor Ortiz and Andre “The Beast” Berto that headlines Premier Boxing Champions on FOX and FOX Deportes on Saturday, April 30 from StubHub Center in Carson, Calif.
The action begins at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and features an explosive battle between light heavyweight sluggers Edwin “La Bomba” Rodriguez and Thomas “Top Dog” Williams Jr. plus unbeaten featherweight Jorge Lara taking on former multiple division world champion Fernando “Cucholito” Montiel.

That’s what people are asking now that “Trouble,” as the unbeaten 30-year-old is known has landed first crack at the belt A.J so ruthlessly and effortlessly ripped from Martin on April 9th. Another questions is, can Breazeale possibly do any worse than Martin did?
Most pro fight fans pay little attention to amateur boxing. Every four years they may watch the Olympics and perhaps find a favorite whom they will follow on his journey into the pro ranks. It was in the 04 Olympics some of you may have spotted a Kazakh silver medalist by the name of Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin, soon to be known in pro boxing circles as GGG.
Having been involved in the amateur scene from the late 90’s I first came across Golovkin in 2001 in Osaka Japan when he defeated Daniel Geale in the welterweight final of the Asian Games. I was instantly a fan, following him through the 03 world championships in Bangkok to the 04 Olympics in Athens.
Unbeaten Irish star Carl Frampton was dubbed by some as The New Barry McGuigan after a few fights into a pro career that has now seen “The Jackal” capture two major belts as a super-bantamweight. Managed by the Irish legend who ruled the featherweight division for a short but shining time in the 1980s, Frampton’s next aim is to dethrone WBA featherweight king Leo Santa Cruz on July 30th. The motivation of becoming a two-weight champion and a big (or bigger) star in the US would be enough, but Frampton has an added motivation: that of “winning the WBA title back for Barry.”
