London Live, the capital’s TV channel, proudly announces its latest UK TV premiere documentary, Alex Reid: Beyond the Cage which will air on 6th April at 22.50pm on London Live
Produced by Brokengate Media, Alex Reid: Beyond the Cage follows the lives of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters Alex Reid and Tony Giles. This documentary explores the motivations to compete in the cage and the psychological impacts of victories, defeats, and being in the public eye.
Both fighters have physically pushed their body to the limits and, now both candidly share their own personal stories, revealing their highs and lows on love, family, childhood, life and loss.
Alex Reid is a famous and controversial MMA fighter and has fought in over 300 fights around the world during his long and illustrious career. He has stood toe to toe with the MMA elite, whilst fighting complex domestic situations and issues of sexuality. Over the last few years Alex has been thrust into the celebrity spotlight with his high profile relationships with Katie Price and Chantelle Houghton.
Tony Giles is of a family travellers and working as a roofer gained most of his skills from the school of hard knocks. Having no formal education Tony realised that his talent for fighting could bring him fortune and glory. Tony’s starred in the “My Big Fat Gypsy” franchise, becoming a popular character and providing an honest insight into the world of the travelling community. He currently has sole custody of his son Tony Junior who he cares for as a single parent.
