Results: Daniel Dubois scores scary 1st-round KO over AJ Carter

Tonight in London at the start of a huge night of boxing, unbeaten 20 year old heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois scored a chilling 1st round KO over AJ Carter, a man who was expected by some to give Dubois his biggest test thus far.

Instead, with mere seconds gone in the opening round, Dubois decked his man with a right hand. A flash later, Carter was down again, and then, courtesy of a brutal right hand to the head, Carter was knocked cold and left flat on his face. It was all over after just 48-seconds. Down for an alarming amount of time, Carter thankfully recovered and was given applause as he eventually got back to his feet.

Is there any way back for Gonzalez? Can anyone stop Rungvisai!

Is there any way back for Gonzalez? Can anyone stop Rungvisai!

In a year that has been full of stunners, last night’s truly shocking result in Carson, California might just have topped the lot. Srisaket Sor Ringvisai, AKA Wisaskil Wangek, absolutely destroyed one-time Pound-for-Pound king Roman Gonzalez.

Last night’s fight was a rematch of a great action fight that saw the tough, strong and, as we saw last night, viciously powerful Thai southpaw score an upset decision win over a 46-0 “Chocolatito” – what happened last night blew that win off the charts.

Antonio Margarito wins controversial Technical Decision in war with Carson Jones

Last night in Chihuahua, Mexico, former world ruler Antonio Margarito scored a highly contentious technical decision win over Carson Jones. At the conclusion of the 7th round, Margarito – who suffered a cut to his right eye in round-two; the damage ruled to have been caused by a head-clash – remained on his stool.

Initially it appeared as though Jones, who was really hammering an exhausted-looking Margarito in the 7th round, had won via corner retirement. Instead, to Jones’ utter dismay, Jimmy Lennon Junior announced how the fight had actually been stopped by the doctor due to the cut and that the fight would go down to the score-cards.

Sorry, Bob Arum – Mayweather’s Wins Counts for 50-0

I don’t blame Mayweather for taking this fight. Put yourself in his shoes – some obnoxious ponce incessantly trash-talks you, AND you get to beat the shit out of him? Like legally? For hundreds of millions?

“No, he doesn’t deserve (the 50-0) record, because he’s not fighting a fighter. He’s not fighting a real boxer. McGregor is a good MMA guy, but it’s a different sport.” – Bob Arum.
