The world championship bout between Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko is cancelled, once again because of Fury. The Klitschko Management Group (KMG) was informed by Fury’s promoter that Fury cannot box for several months due to medical reasons. Thus, the fight night planned for October 29, 2016 in Manchester unfortunately must be cancelled.

Wladimir Klitschko received this message at his training camp. “I am totally disappointed that Fury cancelled the fight for a second time. I am in top shape and I would have loved to retrieve my world championship belts in Manchester. Since I became a professional boxer in 1996, I never had such a long break.“

Early, breaking news reports are saying the troubled Tyson Fury-Wladimir Klitschko rematch is set to be officially postponed, again! According to a short piece from David Anderson of The Mirror, Fury has suffered another injury, meaning the heavyweight champ will not be ready for October 29th. As fans know, Fury suffered a reported ankle injury ahead of the original July 9 rematch date, and now it looks as though we will be getting a third date.

Former heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko has been using the mantra, “now more than ever” ahead of his on/off now on again rematch with Tyson Fury. “Obsessed” with getting revenge and of “putting right” the decision loss he suffered last November, the 40-year-old has pointed out on Twitter how he is “vicious” when returning to the ring from a loss.

And Dr. Steel Hammer says he will be vicious on October 29, in his latest comeback.

There was a press conference in London today, to promote the return fight between Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko, now back on (we hope) for October 29 in Manchester. But only one half of the match-up turned up, as Fury had “car trouble” and was a no-show. Fury is said to have broken down on the motorway, his phone battery dead. Co-promoter Mick Hennessey explained how the unfortunate circumstances were simply beyond the heavyweight champion’s control.

As fight fans have no doubt read or heard, the rematch for the heavyweight championship of the world between Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko, is finally on. This fight, one that looked for a time as though it would never see the light of day – what with Fury declaring he might quit the sport, his subsequent leg injury, alleged failed drugs tests and Wladimir’s statement of intent as far as taking Fury to court – will go ahead, as planned, in Manchester on October 29th. Whew!

The massive fight has been dubbed “Repeat or Revenge,” but a better, more appropriate tag might have been, “Finally!” But tag-lines aside, this fight is one all fans want to see. Not because the first fight, won via decision by Fury, was a great fight, but because so may people just cannot decide whether Fury got “lucky” and had a great night at the expense of a rare bad night on the part of Klitschko. Fans want to know, is the controversial, the entertaining, the wholly unpredictable Fury the real deal or not?

It seems we are further away than ever when it comes to seeing the anticipated return fight between Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko. Ex-champ Klitschko, who first saw a July 9 return with Fury fall apart due to Fury picking up a calf injury, is now threatening to take the man who out-pointed him to court. Klitschko uploaded a video on his Twitter page earlier today, in which he stated the following:

Tyson Fury took time out to celebrate his 28th birthday over the weekend but he assures his fans he is back in full training this week. Fury, who has been driving around in a limo with the date (Oct. 29) and venue (Manchester ) of his rematch with Wladimir Klitschko emblazoned on the side, took to Twitter to list his goals for the coming months.

“This year Oct bitch Wlad. March 2017 weightlifter AJ. Summer 2017 hollow Wilder, let’s make this happen, let’s dance pussys,” Fury wrote late last night.

Tyson Fury today publicly confirmed the date of October 29th for his rematch with Wladimir Klitschko. Fury – last seen enjoying himself at the Euros, supporting England, as well as buying football fans drinks and no doubt downing a few himself – took to Twitter earlier today to both confirm the rematch date and post a picture of himself, one which appears to show he is in perhaps surprisingly good shape.
