Unbeaten New Yorker Jarrell Miller says he is ready and willing to take on Britain’s Dillian Whyte (who was recently elevated to the number-one position in the WBC heavyweight rankings) in an Eddie Hearn show in the US next April. As fans may know, Miller and Whyte have been going back and forth on social media for some time now, with both contenders vowing to KO the other.

By Andy Brooks: Heavyweight Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller (19-0-1, 17 KOs) will be testing himself tonight against aging fringe level contender Mariusz Wach (33-2, 17 KOs) in the co-feature bout on the Daniel “Miracle Man” Jacobs vs. Luis Arias card on HBO Boxing at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.

Miller came in at 283 pounds at Friday’s weigh-in, and he looked in shape for a change. In his last couple of fights, Miller has weighed in at 298 and 296 and looked like he’d trained at a fast food joint. Miller took off 15 pounds, and he looks much better than he has in a long time. That’s good news.

I like to isolate myself because on fight night I am in that ring all by myself so I like to get used to being the only person leading up to the fight. On Saturday night, I just want to win impressively so i can have another fight. That is my only goal. I want to be champion again and go after the heavy hitters. Not excluding anyone, but I feel I am the best middleweight in the world and i want to prove that and Saturday night is going to be the first stepping stone.
