Lucas Matthysse is a bad man.

and garcia do got a better chance cause like u said he faster then matthysse and garcia a good counter puncher but garcia is flat footed and dnt move his head alot his defense got holes in them that can be dangerous when he fight matthysse

Posted January 28, 2013 4:00 pm

and if mike alavardo and rios fight again mike got a shot to win it this time around

Posted January 28, 2013 3:56 pm

matthysse and rios would be a exciting fight to watch i pick matthysse to win that but i wouldn just count rios out tho rios got a chance against anybody that stay in front of him and bang it out in a war but i just think matthysse hit to hard but rios aint going to go down easy matthysse going to throw alot to get rios out of there who knows lucas can get a lil tired for throwing all them shots next then u know rios is coming back this fight going to come down to who in better shape b rios was getting hit alot against alvarado and stun to so i just imagin what matthysse would do a harder puncher

Mattheysee is a TRUE heavy handed fighter he has literally put everyone he hits on the canvas… He knocked out 30 of his 32 opponents and Alexander needed a hometown decision and ALOT of grunts to win, PLUS he was on the floor also… I see NO WAY Brandon Rios beats this fighter, Rios is simply a guy who has not met a fighter tougher than him as of yet even though he needed a gift to stay undefeated….Lucas coming to the ring weighing 160 plus crazy, thats close to a 20 percent increase from weigh-in he will be HARD to beat come fight night…I give Garcia a better chance because he hits harder IMO at 140 than Rios and his hands are faster than Lucas…

Te Tumbo only a matter of time before Rios gets battered to a bloody pulp. That hit me I hit you back style can take you but so far before you run into someone who you cant hurt and hits harder than you… I think Mathysse would make Rios a punching bag until his bravery gets his corner to throw in the towel…

Definitely agree, with Garcia & Matthysse ruling the 140 pack, Amir “Queen” Khan will soon escape to 147 for an easy title shot against Malinaggi (who the Queen has already beat!) Lucas v Danny is one of those “must happen’ fights, similar to Floyd v Manny. Garcia has the balls to take that fight. I think he’d outgun Matthysse in a classic war. The question is will GBP make the fight. And why the hell are GBP so in love with the Queen? They should be focusing on Danny and Lucas, the real talent in their division at 140, not some overhyped, foul-happy cry baby like Khan. Has anyone noticed that Khan still fouls at least once every round??

Soto Karass is a solid fighter but he has nothing on Jose Luis Lopez in fact if Jose were around fighting today in his prime he would go near beating most of todays welters canelo as well ….

Posted January 28, 2013 3:30 am

lucas came in the ring weighing 151 not 163 …

Posted January 28, 2013 2:46 am

i think pablo cano and soto karass would be a good matchup to make or karass and keith thurman

“brian lee- I predicted it. THAT’s WHO. I am the GREATEST Fight Prophet ever born!!!!” Boxtradamus gives himself blowjobs too. You DIDN’T predict squat, MORON!

Posted January 27, 2013 10:54 pm

never mind Rios fighting Matthysse, he’s re-matching Alvarado & he won’t win this time…

Posted January 27, 2013 9:53 pm

no way brandon rios beats matthysse! anyone who goes toe to toe with matthysse gets the mike dallas treatment. and we all know rios loves to engage in a war. rios gets ko’d as soon as he decides to go toe to toe. and that’ll probly be round 1. he wont be able to take those bombs… period

Posted January 27, 2013 9:39 pm

The Mad Scientist

Good win by Soto Karass..Victor Ortiz should fight him when he comes back to the ring.

Posted January 27, 2013 7:54 pm

I don’t know my man. I can’t see Bam Bam taking shots from Matysse all night without getting sliced up.

Posted January 27, 2013 7:08 pm

Yorgey is a walkover for anyone who can fight a little bit… I’m not interesting in watching fights like that because they’re not contests.. I’m not interested in watching muggings or beat-downs.

brian lee- I predicted it. THAT’s WHO. I am the GREATEST Fight Prophet ever born!!!!

Matthysse vs Rios??? Rios goes out in six..

That’s a FOTY WWIII type slugfest—but Matthysse is the better boxer, mover, and puncher.. It’s like Foreman vs Frazier. Anytime you have a walk-in slugger versus a devastating puncher it’s a recipe for disaster for the slugger. I like Rios to prevail against Broner because he wouldn’t let AB breath—but versus Matthysse he would need disaster relief. I believe Garcia would finish Rios too … Matthysse vs Garcia is THE fight I’d pay 1,000 to see … BTW, Matthysse isn’t pulling a Chavez Jr.. He’s a natural junior welter.

Posted January 27, 2013 5:59 pm

Matthysse victory forgone conclusion prior to the fight, fight should not have been made. Great win for Soto-Karass, Aydin should consider retirement at this point. Jermell Charlo’s win over H.J. Yorgey was an interesting fight to watch & a good win for this up and coming fighter. He showed good poise , tallent & technique throught the fight & I would like to see more of him in future fights.
AT this point Yorgey should seriously consider retirement, he has reached his pinnacle as a fighter.

Yeah, Matthysse will destroy anybody at 140. Partly because he’s coming in at 163! That is 4 weight classes higher than junior middleweight. It’s time to put a limit on how much weight you can put back on between the weigh-in and fight time. Somebody is eventually going to get hurt if things don’t change.

Posted January 27, 2013 5:40 pm

Matthysse no one is beating him at 140!
The question is who is going to fight him?

Posted January 27, 2013 4:50 pm

well as long as you just aint saying he on the juiced then im cool with it if that the case danny garcia can be on the juiced to right

Posted January 27, 2013 3:08 pm

Adrien Broner (USA)
Lucas Matthysse (Argentina)
Amir Khan (Great Britain)
Danny Garcia (USA)
Brandon Rios (USA)
Yuriorkis Gamboa (Cuba)

Replacements: Lamont Peterson (USA) & Mike Alvarado (USA)

Posted January 27, 2013 2:59 pm

Te Tumbo

Brandon Rios takes out both Garica and Mattysse out.. no way these guys can compete with Rios..

correction – since the Alexander fight

Posted January 27, 2013 2:35 pm

b0ll0cks I’ve been saying he’s been on the juice since the Judah fight – if you don’t like what I’m saying then tough and if you can’t understand my reasoning then that’s your problem. But he is juiced – much like many of the top boxers these days, he’s not the only one.

Posted January 27, 2013 2:34 pm

now people think matthysse on the juice what reason would u think he on the juice he always had power it not like he came out of nowhere and he started having power all of a sudden he just being more agressive now somthing he didn do in the zab judah fight and devon alexander fight if matthysse havent knock dallas out in the first round you wouldn be saying he on the juice dallas not even a elite fighter no way

Posted January 27, 2013 1:10 pm

This kid Matthysse should be undefeated, a really good fighter.

Posted January 27, 2013 12:47 pm

I’m gunna call a spade a spade and straight out say that I think Matthyesse is on the juice! He lost two controversial decisions to Alexander and Judah and I reckon his people convinced Lucas that he couldn’t rely on the judges and needed to finish contests early even at top level. If I was Danny Garcia or any of the top 140 pounders I wouldn’t agree to any fight Matthyse unless there is proper drug testing, randomized blood tests. Glad I got that off my chest – feel much better now!

Big Al

Showtime seems to be lowering their standards for competitive main events, eh? I could smell this KO a mile away. Showtime Boxing = Goldenboy Channel.

“Matthysse WINS by stoppage just as I predicted!!” Yeah, you and 5,000 other boxing fans. “Predicted”…LMAO!

Posted January 27, 2013 10:48 am

Would love to see Mathysse Vs. Marquez at 140!!!

Posted January 27, 2013 9:37 am

No way Khan beats Matthysse at all! Well in a boxing video game maybe!

Posted January 27, 2013 9:20 am

i dont think garcia beating judah is a foregone conclusion… felt sorry for Dallas as he seemed nervous & tight but hey thats boxing! as for people mentioning Khan vs Matthysse thats laughable – Khan won’t & shouldnt go anywhere near Matthysse – the wind from one of his punches would put khan on giraffe legs

Posted January 27, 2013 8:40 am

With Garcia & Matthysse in the 140 division what odds Khan makes a run for it up to 147 for a quick title shot vs a safe titlest such as Malinaggi or Senchenko

Posted January 27, 2013 8:12 am

Based on the guy he just fought you can’t tell what Matthysse will do. 8 kos be for real.

Posted January 27, 2013 7:06 am

Matthysse has been on a tear since the Alexander fight… He smiled after the SD went to Devon but he was really, really, REALLY pissed… He knew he had to get more separation after that fight because all these cats aren’t going down to Argentina to fight him.. A Matthysse-Garcia fight would be a blockbuster..

He was always quick and a good boxer-puncher—but these last 2 fights he’s concentrating more on endurance in the late rounds and speed.. He coming on, definitely wants to be recognized as the best in the world, and is hot after Danny.

Posted January 27, 2013 5:48 am

bit of a forgone conclusion was it not.

Posted January 27, 2013 4:49 am

“Pacquiao style”…LOL!!

Posted January 27, 2013 4:42 am

judah will dissect garcia and then his oldman will jump in the ring and mess things up …

Posted January 27, 2013 3:30 am

This was a stay-busy fight for Matthysse. Unfortunately, he didn’t get any rounds in. I think Matthysse is the real deal but by no means as a result of KO’ing Dallas. It was pretty much what most people were expecting. It looks good, but while Matthysse hurt Judah in their fight, he could not finish him. Garcia should make short work of Judah… I think Judah goes by round 8. Hopefully, we’ll see Garcia and Matthysse in the ring soon.

Posted January 27, 2013 2:49 am

Watch Judah’s reaction. He’s thinking damn if i beat garcia this is what i’ve got next! Lucas is the real deal

Posted January 27, 2013 1:40 am

Matthysse WINS by stoppage just as I predicted!! I am the GREATEST Fight Prophet ever born!!!

Posted January 27, 2013 1:26 am

that was quiet a pathetic effort by aydin ….

Posted January 27, 2013 12:42 am

no idea what aydin was thinking in there …

Posted January 27, 2013 12:38 am

aydin isnt going to win the fight pot shooting like he is …

Posted January 27, 2013 12:11 am

aydin /soto coming up should be some fire works ….
