if mormeck gets a chance and tompson and wach ….. than tyson must get a chance agains wladimir he is much better than those guys

I always thougt fury needed a top trainer .but I have changed my mind to me he doesnt have one puch power because he wasnt born with that gift. punching power can be improved to a degree but I belive its something your born with> same as a great chin and usally the two dont go together. as far as punching power being so easy to teach look at tommy hearns right had pure power look a ronald hearns his son didnt have big power .if punching power was so easy to teach dont you think tommy would have taught his son ronald that power. AS far as boxing goes I see big improvements in fury balance he stops falling in after he throws his right hand he takes good angles and uses his jab well .He seems to have spots where his defence fails him but they seem less and less sure he is still work in progress and other trainer can be periodically brought in to improve certain areas but I have saw progresss in fury . just hop he realizes there arent any short cuts out there

Truth is the klitchkos are so good there almost a sure bet to win and do it so easy . People are always making fantasy fight with ghosts from the past that would have did this and that to the klitchkos . YEA SURE ! .Wlad learned to hide his only vunerability his chin so well his fights are easy> Vitali had no weakness maybe now age and he cut once . Fights between contenders would be more intresting. I would like see fury face arreola . Fury BAnks . Fury is not ready for a prime wlad probally never would be. Not to say Fury a bad fighter and if he keps improving he might be a champ but at this time he has no chance against wlad .Boxing is a money business and if Fury does get in there with wlad his team should see two things happen. Fury is paid well and fury doesnt get a career ending beating aggainst wlad

Posted February 7, 2013 4:44 pm

the only contender out there that will fight other contenders is adamak .im not saying adamek is a threat to wlad but adamek will face any of the contenders and when he gets in there with them he fights.even if he has been given a few close nods

Posted January 23, 2013 1:25 am

Povetkin – Haye would be awesome. I dont think Adamek can beat Povetkin. Too bad Haye is only calling out Vitali, it’s because he knows Vitali is getting old and slow, Povetkin instead would be another tale. Still Povetkin against tall fighters like Wladimir would be a miss match.

Posted January 22, 2013 12:16 pm

I think, Povetkin has fast combos that work on smaller men. Especially if the other guy is moving his head as l rare as Adamek. In my opinion, Povetkin would win by decision or late TKO due to cuts on Adameks face.

Posted January 22, 2013 6:22 am

No10Point@ just like Pulev, Price, Helenius, Solis, Haye, Banks, Povetkin; none of them are fighting top10 guys(each other) and yet these are the best options there are and they are the highest ranked fighters and most of them don’t even want to fight Wladimir like Fury wants.
who else are you suggesting? Pulev maybe, if he’s willing to fight Wlad i don’t know, but he is even less probable to win. He has even less power than Fury and he’s too small… Solis? please no… Haye, no no no no…Adamek?remeber what Vitali did to him. Helenius is coming from an injury and he’s too stiff anyway. Ok, Fury has very small chances, but i’m sure he would give a good fight unlike Haye and Solis. I just wonder who it will eventually be. Maybe it’s Mormeck.

A guy who almsot TKO’d himself?
Going to destroy the best boxer in the division?

Your jumping forward to suck that C! aren’t you?
Everyone wants to jump on that C! for that 2 plus MILL.

Fury no where near ready.
He needs to fight 4-5 times this year against no less than top 15 guys and beat em all to show it.

Posted January 21, 2013 8:10 pm

DG@ true, but it’s a marginal difference; 7% in favor of Vitali.

..still difficult to explain

I also counted TKO/RTD ratio out of KO’s and Vitali has 65% and Wlad 62% TKO’s so even that doesn’t explain it. Well stats are stats and both Fury and Vitali can put opponents on canvas, they’re big men after all and men of that size don’t necessarily need to be so explosive to be dangerous.

Wack said ”Wach is a juice-head, he should be banned if he already isn’t banned”
Yes i know but after he has done his time and if he keeps clean it would still be an interesting match.

Posted January 21, 2013 6:35 pm

Why are people saying Fury can’t punch? he has 70% ko-ratio, Pulev has 50% ko-ratio and Fury’s opponent-level might have been better i reckon.

Posted January 21, 2013 5:15 pm

too bad Emanuel Steward is gone. I wonder if you can create more explosive power to a fighter size of Fury. He’s only 24 maybe it’s possible. Usually strength hits its peak in later years. The again Mike Tyson hit hard as a teen and after pumping iron in jail his power seemed to decline. It’s really bad if u can’t pop and crack as a HW.

fury does need a good coach – no idea who but someone good.

Logically, Wlad could do nothing to Chisora, since Vitali was about to fight him. He could not ruin the fight and promotion just because he could not control his temper. Wlad did the right thing then, but now he could match Chisora and beat the crap out of him. Chisora is a chump anyway.

Pulev-Wlad 2013!

Posted January 20, 2013 4:30 pm

Hope this one goes through. Pulev is caught up with the IBF eliminator, Povetkin is pissing in his pants (please take away that WBA belt!) Haye is closing his own doors by refusing to fight someone else, and Vitali is not helping either by postponing his official decision about continuing his career or not. So this is one of the best fights that can be made. Just hope Fury is aware he will need to go to Germany and accept a 80-20 plt or so. Anyway, good move for Fury.

OK kids lets get this straight, Wlad toys with Fury beating him up till he either KO’s him or Fury is so busted up its stopped, it will NOT be close IF it happens. The K’s will fight whomsoever brings the most $$$ to the show, if its fury so be it. A better match would be WK-Pulev who would beat Tyson Fury like a drum. Fury=hypejob

Yah, I would go for Wlad vs Del Boy in 2013.
Now go pay the Emperor 5 more goats and turn in your swords.

The only fighter out there who has “stepped up” in the last couple of years is Chisora! He’s already sold the fight by spitting in his face. Wlad v Del Boy 2013!!

Posted January 20, 2013 1:44 pm

pikey boy would get blown away by either klit inside 4 rounds. This is another boxer not able to complete his apprenticeship shouting his mouth off saying he can be the world champion.this guys not even the best in Britain, its time he showed some balls and fight david price who would also ko him then wreck his world title aspirations.

Posted January 20, 2013 10:18 am

He would get seriously ko’d in the very first round, actually… Vlad could do that but would probably be safety first and stop him in round 10.

Looks like Fury wants to trade his unbeaten record for cash. Wladimir will have an easy payday himself with the likes of Fury as the opponent and Fury can finally afford to buy that brand new manufactured home he’s had his eye on.

Off Subject: There’s a couple of British H/W’s who could make good in a few years if handled correctlly. I’m talking about Gary”Highlander”Cornish & Dillian”The Villan”Whyte. However these guy’s will never get noticed outside of the UK until there managers set them up with a few low key contests on the continent. Young British prospects need all the experiance & exposure they can get & it’s not just H/W’s!

Posted January 20, 2013 6:53 am

Fury should wait.Hes young has skills..moves well..jabs good. But he needs a few more decent fights to set himself up for a k-bro.Middle of 2014 with a few more good fights and he will be ready, prehaps by then he could walk away with a belt. And after that a Fury-Price fight in the U.K. for tons of money and heaps of good hype.

Posted January 20, 2013 1:11 am

This is another Wach vs Wlad fight, maybe even worse if Fury’s chin isn’t as good.

Posted January 20, 2013 12:21 am

At least he doesn’t puss around like Alpo did and still does

Posted January 19, 2013 9:44 pm

Another KO for the Klits… Even though they maybe on the decline from age and Stewart passing away…

Posted January 19, 2013 8:59 pm

Fury lacks the experience and power at this early stage of his career to face Klitchko; he’ll get KO’d. At 24 Tyson has plenty of time to polish his raw skills. He should first target an alphabet title like the EU belt, and then go after Vlad in late 2014.

Posted January 19, 2013 8:34 pm

why should anyone who’s to friggin fat to keep their knee from blowing get yet another title shot? Complexion?

Posted January 19, 2013 7:19 pm

Fury gets KOd inside 6 rounds his best win was over an under prepaird out of shape Del Boy Chisora and he made hard work of that. Why would wladimir duck fury he’s one more p easy fight in a long line of easy fights Fury is like Haye talking his way to a title shot and the out come will be the same another boring fight with wladimir ending up with the W.

Posted January 19, 2013 7:19 pm

…. “Even Helenius would be debatable” …. No it wouldn’t. Fury would murder Helenius. He’d tattoo Rock a’Bye Robert with every punch there is. Even fat boy Sherman Williams was tagging him. Helenius is not looking for tough fights.

Posted January 19, 2013 7:09 pm

Every HW dreams of fighting the champion – whether it happens is another matter……

Posted January 19, 2013 7:07 pm

The punch Vitali hit Solis with was not a “phantom punch.” It barely made contact.. The phantom punch made solid contact and knocked Liston down. Liston wasn’t hurt, and got up before the referee could count to one — but the punch was legitimate and sent Sonny down legitimately.. Solis went down when his knee gave out.. The 270lb fat ass grabbed his knee—and the fight was over before it started … Charr made a better effort than that. Charr protested like crazy when the fight was stopped. But his blood was pouring all over the place from cuts caused by punches.

Because his previous fight was a poor showing Vitali was laying his shots in with a will.. He had Charr down, and he had him hurt.. He was trying to smash him.. Charr was lucky they stopped it.. I wanted to see more action because I knew it was Vitali’s last fight.

Posted January 19, 2013 7:00 pm

Fury is a hard one to rate. He has some great tools to work with – he is massive, he has fast hands, he is young so will get stronger, he has a gob that will talk him through doors, he seems to like fighting, and has cottoned on to the fact he needs to take the craft more seriously. He also just has some massive flaws too though – he lacks a little coordination when going back under pressure, he has no power unless he loads up, and when he does load up he can only do it for 1-2 punches in a round, and finally he gets hit straight down the middle with right hands.
Fury could have a good career matched correctly, but he is never beating the likes of Vitali, Wlad, Pulev, Haye or Price. Even Helenius would be debatable. He`s young so he could have waited them out if he hadn`t talked so big so early. I hope he gets the Wlad fight. Wlad will knock him out, but it`s possible that Fury will have a decent couple of rounds, and make Wlad uncomfortable first. The KO loss will either be the making or breaking of him depending how he responds to it.

This would be a great fight, i hope its not all talk. Fury will likely take a lot of punishment, but heis career wont be over.

I like fury but he is quite the featherfist……not gonna be good when it comes time to bang with a klitschko brother and the ONLY possible way for ANYONE IN HISTORY to beat a klitschko brother is by stoppage. It would be a christmas delight if wlad vs fury happened though……i would love it… money is on a klitschKO 100% of the time.

Posted January 19, 2013 4:54 pm

Posted January 19, 2013 4:43 pm

fury is no match for any of the klitschko bros.period. present HW DIVISION NOBODY CAN BEAT beat the K brothers you have to be a POWER PUNCHER, height, reach have fury but no POWER PUNCH TO OFFSET ANY OF K- BROTHERS.Am not a klitscko fan either.

Posted January 19, 2013 4:33 pm

DanDy – I already told you that Price is ducking Fury and I only ever speak the truth. David and the punk Klits are ducking the future ATG Fury. Doesn’t matter tho, Tyson will achieve greatness any way.

If they ever stop ducking him: Fury KO5 Vitali, Fury KO3 Wlad, Fury KO1 Price.

Posted January 19, 2013 4:30 pm

Correction: Vitali TKOed Solis in round 1 not 2. Vitali hit him with a perfectly timed temple shot just as Solis was leaping in and before Solis’s lead foot touched the canvas. All of Solis’s weight was on his right foot. The punch was a nearly exact replica of the famous phantom punch that Ali KOed Liston with in their second fight. Solis was an undefeated professional and former Olympic gold medalist. He was not a bum, but the punch was an absolute KO punch just like Ali’s.

Posted January 19, 2013 4:25 pm

If he does that then it shows that he knows he can’t win. Regardless of the contract offer for this fight, you take it. Beat a Klitschko and the next fight is the money fight.

Posted January 19, 2013 4:17 pm

Traveller – Honestly? Fury is a good domestic level fighter but that’s about it. Wlad will stop him unless Firy lands one of those super uppercuts and stops himself first. Two words for Fury; David Price.

Posted January 19, 2013 4:15 pm

This is a tough fight for Wladimir because if Fury’s greater height, weight, and reach… Wladimir fought somebody slightly similar in Mariusz Wach—who is slower and older than Fury, far less skilled than Fury, tougher and stronger than Fury, and punches a lot harder than Fury. Fury will be much tougher than Wach. Wladimir will be about an 8 to 1 favorite — which I think is a little long because I would make him a 5 to 1 favorite.

If Fury gets his quick jab going… and gets his quick straight right hand going… and can deliver the left hook to the liver at timely moments… these will all be keys to doing better than anyone expects… He sparred a lot of rounds with Wladimir so he’s familiar with him.

Wladimir jabs and punches sharper and harder and defends much better. He should win.

Posted January 19, 2013 4:11 pm

I hope Fury means what he says and doesnt turn around and say he wanted the fight but they offered him a slave contract so hes fighting Manuel Charr instead or something like that…

It’s kinda not giving them their respect when you say they feast on bums like Deontay Wilder does.

Who have they really ducked? They have fought everyone that has come up. Sure there are some bad names but they are running out of names to fight. Povetkin has been ducking Waldimir for years. Haye jerked them around than fought like a coward. I have been critical of Wladimir for his safety first style in the ring but I do think he is fighting the guys that are there.

Posted January 19, 2013 3:17 pm

Nameless, who have they not fought? Are you saying that they pick bums to fight? From what I see they are always trying to get the best a available. Also, remember that people have deals signed to fight other guys when Klitschkos are looking and some don’t want to fight them as we’ll as fights that are big money in Europe may not be what we want to see but if you were making the best amount for fighting someone like Charr as the best option at the time, you wouldn’t turn it down. They have fought all the big names, they have gone after all the undefeated and hot streak fighters as well as fighting mandatory defenses. What more can you ask for of them, other than fighting more than 1-2 times a year(because I agree with that).

You have a point there but lets face it the klits are both low risk operators to be polite – charr, mccormek etc. Its how K2 do business.

The problem with the heavyweight division isn’t a lack of talent. It is that the challengers won’t face off to give us a real challenger. Can’t hype a guy who won’t take any risks on the way to the title. From Arreola to Fury to Haye to Solis to Povetkin to Adamek to Helenius to Boytsov to the many others I can name. They won’t face off and all just wait their turn to get their ass whooped by Wladimir or Vitali.. Have any of the names I mentioned fought each other? I don’t think so. How do any of them deserve a shot than. You beat a Rahman and expect a title shot or some other unranked or washed up guy. It is the same with American heavyweights as it is with Haye and Fury. No one wants to take a chance. The division is better than people give credit for but until they give us these fights they don’t deserve the credit.
