Well, Vasyl was certainly p4p best there. In itself this doesn’t mean he deserved this trophey though. Let’s be honest: he fought one full fight in the semi’s (and vert, very cautious at that). He boxed for 90 seconds or so in each of his three other fights. And he didn’t blew people away in those fights, just scored healthy margins and drew the line, which his opponents didn’t dare to cross. The best boxer, who preferred not to take any risks in taking his second gold. A masterful effort, but he didn’t even go for Barker’s cup IMO.

This whole Olympics was marred by extremely BAD oficiating , but nowhere
as bad as in boxing ! This was , without a doubt the WORSE case of , incompetence , bias , and blatant
partiality , EVER ! There are at least a DOZEN cases , where the wrong guy
was declared the winner . Shame on the
IOC to allow such horrible discrepancy !
And yes , Lomachenko , should have won the Barker trophy , AGAIN !

Vasyl Lomachenko deserved it more in my opinion

Solid choice but personally for me the 18 year old Cuban Robeisy Ramírez Carrazana was exceptional.

Well deserved. Lomachenko coulld have been in with a shout had he upped the pace in some of his fights. Well done Serik.
