I watched their first fight today on YouTube and agree that it was an excellent one. But one question going in for the rematch, is if Adamek was able to drop Cunningham three times at cruiserweight what could he possibly do to him at heavyweight. Adamek doesn’t have a lot of power at heavyweight but this time around he’s fighting another guy who is also not a natural heavyweight. I think the rematch could be another really good fight but I feel Adamek could either stop or knock Cunningham out this time. Cunningham seems tough though and should do all he can to try and win the fight as well.

Multiple sources (including Kathy Duva who is Adamek’s AND Solis’ promoter) are reporting that it was Solis’ camp which did not sign the contract and missed several deadlines to do so. Apparently Oner did not want Solis to fight Adamek. Its all over google.

GO ADAMEK – 6:14 – 10/17/2012

Solis has been a disapoinment. After the ametures he was suppose to be the next big thing(not in weight only)and he been really flat as a pro.I dont think anybody thought he would be were he is today as a pro.

The Kingslayer

I am talking about his pro career, his highlight was crumbling infront of Vitali Klitschko, the rest of time he’s just been eating his way through Germany and Florida.

I watched Cunningham’s last fight against the limited journeymen Jason Gavern, whilst it was a one sided fight with Cunningham winning every round… Cunningham struggled to really hurt Gavern.
At heavyweight you’ve got to to go for Adamek…… Cunningham has skills but no punching power at heavyweight to make much impact on the scene……even if he should against the odds score a victory over Adamek.

The Kingslayer – wow you’re trully a hater man. I don’t know if Cunningham has declined as a bokser since first fight. He fought couple tiltle fights since and was always at the top of the cruiser. Adamek on the other hand fought with some decent and great fighters (Klichko, Arreola, Chambers). I’m from Poland and I realize that Adamek doesn’t have what it takes to be HW champion but he is a good challenger and HW NEEDS him. He fights a lot and takes some big challenges as well. I don’t see him favourite with Solis but I wouldn’t be surprised if he would won. Becouse of his cleavernes and adapting skills in the ring.
And this fight Adamek – Cunningham II is a real treat for boxing fans. I axpect great fight. Maybe they’re not the best in the pack but there will be blood and a lot of action for sure. They’re good friends outside the ring too.
And about Solis, you may dislike him but saying that he did nothing in the sport is riddicules. He won olimpics for Christ sake.

The Kingslayer

Oh BTW this is just another example of why I hate Solis with a passion, he’s done nothing in this sport and he thinks he’s big enough to turn down an Adamek fight….someone please slap some sense into that fat tub of lard.

The Kingslayer

The first fight was amazing but four years down the road both men have declined alot. Nice to see boxing on NBC though.

The first fight was great. But this being at hvwt. leaves abit to be desired.First I dont feel Cunningham is the same as he was back in the first fight.Second Cunningham as a hvwt. is not where he belongs therefore I dont see him giving Adamek any real problems at this weight.Third I would have liked to see Adamek against Solis because Solis as a hvwt. is still a big ? and Cunningham as a hvwt. will go nowhere. And if Adamek stays at hvwt. which Im sure he will there are other fights that would be great like Adamek against..Pulev..Ustinov..Boystov..Helinus..Price..Fury.But ofcouse there first fight being so good at cruiser awhile back I understand people want to see this again.

terror tim

I think I have only seen Cunningham once or twice since this fight. Been overseas and of course his stint with King did him no favors. It was a great match up of styles last time, probably will be again.

mochi…thanks, good update. A shame though. This is the second time that the IBF tries to organize an eliminator tournament and each time it does not work out. Sounds indeed that Adamek pulled out and never truelly had the intention to fight Solis. Hope IBF drops him a few places and organizes Pulev vs Solis as an eliminator. Or Pulev to face Klitschko, could be good as well

svdc: Polish media was talking about Adamek-Solis fight for couple of weeks and about two weeks back I read that the fight is oficial. Today I read that Solis backed off. For me It seems like they knew that Adamek will fight Cunningham and prepared this for some time now.

I am assuming its a Heavyweight fight?

Posted October 17, 2012 4:08 am

I also assume that this IBF eliminator tournament between Solis, Adamek, Pulev & Ustinov is dead

Looking FW as well but why move to HW to face eachother? This fight should have happened at CW, for the world title. Botha re better then Huck or Lebedev

Well I definitely want to see this fight. Cunningham goes out on his shield and fights till it is over. This fight will be another war.

A fight that should have happened some three years ago, but is better late than never. I felt that Adamek won the first one, but will this be the case this time is another question.
