Stevenson went with Showtime to avoid fighting Kovalev. HBO wanted Kovalev Vs. Stevenson and Stevenson knows it, so he will run and hide…………………….Hopkins said he will never fight Kovalev or Stevenson………..I agree with Kovalev that he is going to focus on the fight Saturday, not any other fight and he is correct. I don’t think he is taking Agnew lightly, which is smart. After the fight Kovalev can work on fighting his next opponent. Sillakh was a really good amateur, can box very well and has power, it was a good tune-up for Agnew. Sillakh had a better record in amateurs, really good record, but Kovalev had no problem with him. Kovalev is very serious fighter………Posted March 27, 2014 12:54 am
You never know, this could be seriously competitive:
“Cedric had a stellar amateur career, winning 110 of his 120 bouts. During his amateur career he won gold medals at the 2003 United States National Junior Olympics, the 2003 Sweden Cup for Under-19′s, the 2004 Chicago Golden Gloves, the 2004 United States Under-19 Championships, the 2006 Chicago Golden Gloves and won a silver medal at the 2004 National Golden Gloves.”
Like just about everyone else, I’d still bet on Kovalev by KO in the first four or five rounds, but who knows? Seen much of Agnew? No, nor me, and he’s 26-0.
Looking forward to it.Posted March 26, 2014 7:10 pm
I smell an upset.
JOKE!Posted March 26, 2014 5:51 pm
Have to appreciate an active boxer. “more fight, more money”.Posted March 26, 2014 3:42 pm
if kovalev do struggle or somehow lose then the excuses going to be the stevenson thing if agnew dont win i think he going to be competive then people think and make a name for himself but if he get blown out like everybody else then hey on to the next for kovalev but kovalev havent really seen any tapes of agnew so he dont even know what he up against i dont know if that going to matter or not all the pressure is on kovalev and the hype agnew dont got to much to lose he expected to get blown out on paper atleast he a live underdogg to me cause of his talent and amateur background and confidence he really think he can beat kovalev we see once they in that ringPosted March 26, 2014 3:31 pm
instead of yall keep talking about kovalev and stevenson yall need to worry about kovalev and agnew first i know everybody thinking it going to be a mismatch this is boxing anything can happen and like i said from the jump i think agnew going to give kovalev a test i give agnew a chance then most people are giving him is kovalev really focus on agnew like he should be all i keep hearing is stevenson name pop up or maybe kovalev might take his frustrations out on agnew we see where his head is at agnew not the type of fighter you should take lighty or be looking past himPosted March 26, 2014 3:12 pm
There’s no excuse. Everyone knows what THE fight is at LHW.
If you don’t know, than Leonard-Hearns never dawned on you.Posted March 26, 2014 2:21 pm
Stevenson left HBO for Showtime so there will be no Kovalev vs Stevenson. Anyone who claims Kovalev is ducking tough comp at 175 needs to look at the facts. HBO has been pushing for them to fight and show has Kovalev. Stevenson bails to Showtime where he won’t have to take the fight and has a built in excuse for ducking Kovalev.Posted March 26, 2014 1:48 pm
Another fight, another KO. Let’s see if Stevenson ducks Kovalev. He’s been talking money issues instead of the fight HBO has been trying to push since day 1, which is a bad sign.Posted March 26, 2014 1:30 pm
Kovalev vs Stevenson 2014 sounds cool…if Adonis stops trying to avoid Sergey.Posted March 26, 2014 1:13 pm
kovalev and hbo still waiting on adonis to grow a pair and fight kovalev so kovalev has to fight agnew. hopkins is running as fast as he can away from these 2 even trying to go to another weight division. hopkinsnis a jokePosted March 26, 2014 1:07 pm
Everybody complains about other fighters and the comp they are facing. So who is this guy again?Posted March 26, 2014 12:40 pm
