And Angulo doesn’t look competely human. Where did he come from? Looks like he has battled some dinasours back in the day. I think Alverez is in trouble.

I have a feeling that Canelo can’t out punch Angulo and his boxing skills are not going to help him. Because Laura was very crafty similar to Mayweather and Riguadeaux and he got tagged big time. I thought Canelo was cherry picking but sometimes you also pick the wrong mushroom! (poison)

Hidalg0 I remember him saying that and I think that is a load of crock. But that is fine. No point in arguing it, neither one of us is going to change our minds about it. Even in the most recent Showtime Access show Canelo said the weight had no affect on him. But it is what it is.

Why are you wasting your time, PEEJ? You’re fighting a battle that you can never win. Even if you weren’t the grotesquely inept vegetable-brained ESB cyber village idiot that you’re infamous for being on here, you still wouldn’t be able to snatch victory out from the jaws of defeat. Why? Because the war is over. All your fellow troops have been defeated and are lying face down in the mud and the dirt. Resistance is totally futile. Obviously you were all totally out of your depth before the first shot was fired in anger. Hopelessly outmanned and outgunned by a far superior adversary. However, it was your own military commanders and generals who delivered the coup de grace. Only problem was they delivered it to the wrong side. Their own troops. ROFL.

Hidalg0 Canelo has been stewing on it for a while and his whole team has said that the weight was not an issue. I think its funny that fans have to come out and make excuses for a fighter when a fighter doesn’t make those excuses. It would be one thing if he did but he has maintained that the weight had no issue on his fight. They just couldn’t catch Floyd. Plain and simple.

Posted March 6, 2014 11:16 am

Canelo wins a UD or by late stoppage. Canelo’s speed and underrated defence and power will overwhelm Angulo who will always be within striking distance. If Canelo turns this into a boxing match which I believe he will, he wins. Going toe to toe will leave him open and even the playing field so he shouldn’t go there.

You have made a mistake now boy.

You don`t have to worry about who Gonzo is, you need to worry about what he is. He is a force of n@ture. He has f-c-u-k-d a hurric@ne. When he was born, even his d@ddy called him d@ddy.

Imagine if you will a Tsun@mi, but rather than being made of water, it is comprised of pure Ande@n Cond0r mixed with l@shings of Clint E@stwood circa 1964, Fistful of Doll@rs er@.

Now imagine that Tsun@mi g@thering it`s force up on Tier one, which I can tell you extends upwards of 22,000 feet, and is a place where ordin@ry humans would require Oxygen m@sks, so as I say imagine it g@thering it`s force, growing and growing, lightening flicker!ng, the smell of ozone in the air and word-pairings, and syll@bals clash together.
Then there is a creak as the Golden doors of tier one are pulled open by Tera P@trick and Scarlett Joh@nnson wearing nothing but smiles, and a hungry look for e@ch other.

You have a moments silence where you have the ins@ne hope that nothing will happen.

But then, suddenly there it is.

A million cubic tons of Vulture E@stwood Dragonborn fury pouring from the sky, slicing it`s way towards your very soul.

At the tip of this Tsnum@i you`ll see a sneer!ng pair of lips form, which as they grow closer draw back to reveal a set of kn@shers intent on dam@ge.

Realising your error you back away, head twisting, seek!ng an esc@pe.

You tr!p and fall onto your back and cover your eyes.

But this can do nothing to stop the be@st you have unleashed from settling it`s jaws upon your most pr!zed possess!ons and r!pping them out root and stem with a crunching twist.

That my friend is Gonzo.

If you feel this is an ex@ggeration then b@re this in mind. Do you know Keyzer Soze? Of course you do, everyone has heard of him. What most people do not know however is that Keyzer once borrowed Gonzo’s Ferr@ri 250 GT, and returned it without filling the t@nk.

This is why Gonzo now possesses a mousem@t made from Keyzers scr-0-tum.

Groupie Stalker or should I say Gonzo stalker (ROFL) or perhaps PEEJ?.. What did I tell you the last time you tried this? You’re wasting your time, bro. Your lame tactics aren’t ever going to deter Brother Gonzo from spreading the gospel truth about your idols SOG and Hunter. Nothing you can do will ever stop me from exposing those disingenuous lying little faux Christian hypocrites for what they are, which I do so expertly and skilfully even if I do say so myself. I always back up everything I say with irrefutable hard proof and facts, proof and facts that YOU (or none of you for that matter) can ever even begin to refute, hence why it irks you so much and why all you have in your armouries are painfully unfunny ad homnoms attacks and lies. ROFL.

You still don’t get it do you? The fact that the only weapons you chumps possess are ad homnoms attacks not only inflates my nebula sized ego even more, but it also bolsters and augments the argument I was making in the first place and further exposes you clowns for being the inept intellectual paupers you all are. And the most amusing part about that is.. you still needed me to tell you that. ROFL. Knowing that my mastery is so overwhelming that others won’t even attempt to try and refute my arguments and assertions is as deeply satisfying for me as a slow sensual blow job of a prime Scarlett Johansson. ROFL.

2. And an even bigger ROFL + LMFAO at managing to finally pluck up the courage to dip his hand into ‘comedy’ only to fall flat on his face and make a prize tit out of himself AGAIN!! ROFL.

Basing your whole ‘comedic’ premise around calling a man a girl not only went out with the extinction of the dinosaurs, as did the mum’s basement joke, it was also never remotely amusing to begin with. Unless that is you were unfortunate enough to be afflicted with being born with a brain the size of your average tortoise bollock. ROFL.

PEEJ.. Don’t give up the day job, brother. You know, the one that’s so mentally demanding and taxing that it enables you to spend your every waking hour on here (literally) fluffing Floyd’s boner. Listen, kid.. The only laughs you ever generate are the ones that are directed at you, not from anything funny you’ve ever said. Leave the comedy routine to those that actually possess a semblance of natural comedic talent… like Brother Gonzo for example, who possess it in spades. ROFL. I’m the joke teller, you’re the joke. And don’t you ever forget it, breh. ROFL.

Informer-i can see how it’s reasonable to look at the Angulo-Kirkland fight and draw the conclusion that if Kirkland can badly beat Angulo, then surely Canelo will be able do every more, but the devil is on the detail, and while both fighters had been inactive coming into that fight, the key difference was Ann Wolfe’s insane conditioning of Kirkland, which is how he survived that big shot from Angulo in round one, then his conditioning allowed him to keep pace with Angulo’s own frenzied pace which caused Angulo to be spent quickly, and the rest is history. The question in my mind is: Will Canelo cope with Angulo’s pace? And how will he react when he gets hit repeatedly buy a heavy handed fighter? Plus there is the factor of Hunter to consider.Angulo was doing well vs Lara, primarily due to a superior gameplan,Canelo underperformed vs Floyd due to a inferior gamelan.I think this will be an exciting fight and a real test for Canelo, and while on paper he should win this comfortably,i still think Angulo’s engine and power will bring him the win.

BTW, Cintron is not effective anymore since he hurt his right hand. That was his money shot. He hurt it and does not throw it with authority anymore, but commentators don’t recognize it. I admire for continuing to get fights because I know he has to earn a living. But he is left-jabbing his way in survivable mode through his fights.

Posted March 5, 2014 11:11 pm

I don’t like to get into the “if fighter A can beat fighter B, … but James Kirkland destroyed Angulo. Actually, Angulo has not been the same since. Does anyone think Kirkland is on the same level as Canelo? I think this is a fun fight for the 5 or 6 rounds it may last, not Pay per view worthy. It is a nice bounce back, fan friendly fight for Canelo before he gets back to fighting another championship caliber fight and nothing more.

Agreed. Cintron was a pretty good fighter prior to his fights with Margarito. I too suspect Margarito had loaded gloves vs Cintron.

Posted March 5, 2014 10:31 pm

“Cintron used to have serious pop at 147.”

Cintron would have had a much better career if he would not have suffered two wallopings at the hands of Antonio Margarito. Antonio took much of the fight out of Kermit. I’d like to believe those beatings were legit, but Margarito has that stigma of plaster wraps. Can’t help but wonder.

Posted March 5, 2014 10:02 pm

If Canelo sticks and moves he’ll win easily. He has much faster hands and quicker feet. But if he gets dragged into a dog fight, and starts exchanging hooks, we’ll quickly find out what he’s made of because Angulo can bang. An item of concern, in Canelo’s fight with Kermit Cintron, Cintron rocked Canelo and had him hurt at one point, but Cintron was too spent at the time to followup with anything. Cintron used to have serious pop at 147. Angulo hits at least as hard as Cintron did. Something to consider if you’re making a bet on this fight.

Obv Canelo will bounce back. That’s why they chose to fight Angulo, a straight forward puncher with slow hands and feet and a damaged face. I’d enjoy it greatly if he proves me wrong though. Been a fan since day 1 but this is his reality now: stepping stone for the top guys.

“Per Canelo he was not drained and the weight had no affect on him.”

Uh, huh. Same thing Cotto said right after fighting Pacquiao, but after he stewed on it a while, he determined that fighting at a catchweight did hurt him.

Canelo was drained and the weight did affect his performance against Floyd. Jones said it himself. They know what they were fighting–they’ve been in the business long enough to know when they see a weight-drained opponent. That’s why they wanted to “take his legs out from under him.”

And Floyd’s best friend and third trainer Nate Jones admitted they knew Canelo was going to be and WAS badly drained. LMFAO.

Gonzo, those videos prove that Canelo was in fact drained for the Mayweather fight and that they knew the catchweight would hurt him. So I think it’s safe to say that Canelo would have fought a better fight if he had not had to lose those extra two pounds to make the catchweight limit.

I don’t think he has to worry about Molina, he will just try and grab Canelo. I think Canelo is stronger than Molina and can beat him on the inside. But I think Molina is about to lose that strap to Charlo

Posted March 5, 2014 5:58 pm

I think Canelos boxing skills will be enough for Angulo but Peej said exactly what I was thinking how’s he gonna handle shots from a legitimate jmw with pop. The real test for how well he bounces back from the Floyd fight is when he fights the likes of Lara and Molina. Will he try to outbox them like he did Floyd or will he realize that he doesn’t have that kind of footspeed and learn to pressure those kinds of fighters.

Canelo is fine. That wasn’t a brutal loss. It was what happens when you put a relatively inexperienced fighter in with a savvy veteran like Jr. I am curious to see how Canelo can handle pressure from a bull in the same division, which Angulo is. I blame canelos lost to floyd purely on his trainers.i knew going into the fight canelo was at a disadvatange in experience against floyd but i assumed his corner would have great gameplans in place and clearly they were rookies amatures.canelo needs a corner with experience on the elite level to so they can allow him to see the things he cannot and also be able to adapt and switch it up as his oppenants will.

Question is can Canelo get his body shots off before Angulo tags him back. Does Canelo have a good chin? We know Angulo has a decent chin. Plus this is the first Jr Middle with power that Canelo has fought. This is a close fight. If Canelo can stay away and not get hit often then he can win a decision. I think if he ends up going to war he will have a long night against him and may end up getting KOd.

This should be Caneo’s biggest test. Angulo , a warrior and a great fighter is slipping by way of age he has only a few more yeas to go at best, Canelo is still young and strong..but, he didn’t look too impressive in his outing with Floyd and after watching his fight with Trout several times, he was getting hit way too often. Again a good test for Canelo and even if he loses this one he’ll bounce back.. Angulo has his age working against him
so he has to be at the top of his game .. Should be a great one to watch !!! …. PEACE ….

He did ok against Mayweather ….<<<< No Canelo did less than OK………… The only people who may agree with you are a judge that was sitting ring side whos eyes clearly need checking……………………………….

Canelo will have a field day hitting Angulo all night. Seriously, Angulo offers toughness, that it. Nothing else period. Unless Canelo has a glass jaw and gets cracked, he should be able to look like a million dollars. The build up is misleading as they try to pit two Mexican fighters into having a toe to toe pit bull fight. Canelo is going to box and counter Angulo all night. Angulo’s face will be busted up and stopped. The jab is going to slice him up. This will do nothing for Canelo other than have his fan hype him up even more. He is talented, but he should be fighting someone that will give him a real challenge. He did ok against Mayweather, so Angulo will seem like molasses. This fight will do horrible PPV numbers.

Angulo’s improving but it won’t be enough to avoid Canelo’s hard shots for the first seven rounds. Alvarez’s defense will be his offense. catching Angulo and stopping him in his hard-charging tracks. IF Angulo survives that, it’s his turn but if Kirkland could punch him out, i expect that Canelo will too.

How many bums make 12 million dollars for a fight? Saul’s not going to have peak for 7 years, so he’s not crying about how tough life is. I’d love to see him fight Lara if he wins as he’s expected to do. But I think his poeple want to avoid Lara and wait for Martinez-Cotto — and challenge the winner while Golovkin continues to twist in the wind.

Canelo fought the best in the world. Angulo wouldn’t have a top trainer like Virgil Hunter if he were a bum — on the other hand Hunter does have Khan in his stable; but was thinking Khan was a possible Mayweather opponent when he agreed to train him.
