crawford. another hype job.Posted February 25, 2014 4:00 pm
Correction: 30 rounds not 300.Posted February 25, 2014 3:46 am
Read a report stating Burns has gotten 300 good rounds of sparring from Mitchell a former opponent. If he’s in primed up shape and not hitting the party circuit he’ll go the distance and make it a bit closer. Still not fast enough to catch Crawford though.Posted February 25, 2014 3:45 am
Ricky burns wii be getting hit often as usual but will he be able to hit Crawford enough to hurt him. I think not. Crawfords defense and quickness will lead him to a UDPosted February 24, 2014 7:00 pm
Ricky has a lot to be proud of and has some good names on his record, sadly this fight will see him pummelled out of World level….Posted February 24, 2014 6:17 pm
burns must fallPosted February 24, 2014 3:54 pm

Won’t be long before Mitchell Smith beats Ricky Burns. He’s already planning on moving up to 135. In fact I don’t think Burns could beat Mitchell Smith, he’s the best young prospect I’ve seen in the UK in a long time. 21 Years old, Mitchell will be world champion in two years time. He’s like a young Barrera, tons of talent and a vicious finisher.Posted February 24, 2014 3:37 pm

crawford is gonna beat this bum to a frazzelPosted February 24, 2014 2:42 pm
Its impossible to say how Crawford will handle the atmosphere, which will be incredible and not even cloes to anything he has had to deal with it before and we havent seen how big his heart is yet, and ther eis nop question Ricky will test that to the max, so skill wise there is no doubts Crawford is the much better boxer but there is a bit more to it than that and we will see if Crawford is the real deal on Saturday and the next superstar all the Americans are making out he is, If he is then he should do a job on Ricky but weve heard it all before with guys who’ve come over and been sent home with their tail between their legs.Posted February 24, 2014 2:38 pm
Martinez will stand in front of you. Crawford will not do thatPosted February 24, 2014 12:59 pm
The Ricky Burns who outworked Roman Martinez for the Super Featherweight title could also outwork Crawford. Sadly that Burns is not here anymore. In fact he has gone back quite dramatically. But hats off to him for taking this fight!Posted February 24, 2014 10:44 am
This is just the beginning for Terence Crawford, he is gonna be a boxing superstar, and one of the best the USA has ever seen, a multi-belt champion.
Fraud Duckweather is very lucky, he arrived on the boxing scene right after Pernell ‘Sweet Pea’ Whittaker, so he never had to face a prime Whittaker, just as well, because Perrnell would of kicked his butt. And now right at the end of Fraud’s career we have Pernell Whittaker mark two in Terence Crawford, who in about two years time will probably fight at 147, and Fraud gets to dodge that bullet too, because Terence Crawford would kick his butt as well.Posted February 24, 2014 9:36 am
Nah I can see Crawford winning this one to be fair.Posted February 24, 2014 8:47 am
If Scott thinks Crawford is going to win then bet your house on Burns.Posted February 24, 2014 8:42 am
*not george Galloway* that’s a different story!Posted February 24, 2014 8:33 am
Ricky Burns isn’t a racist at all you dumb moron. If anyone is CLEARLY a racist with a massive chip on your shoulder it’s YOU!! I just bet you go around every single day using the race card! Pathetic. You the racist, call others a racist.
The One you’re such a sad loser.Posted February 24, 2014 6:23 am
“I read that Burns lived the life of a champ, gym, running early nights and just recently I’ve read a few comments that he hasn’t stopped having late nights?” – Don’t know about his early career but I heard was hitting the rave scene before the Katsidis fight. Has he been up to that recently as well? Not the lifestyle of a boxer.Posted February 24, 2014 4:25 am
I just hope it doesn’t go to the judges.Posted February 24, 2014 3:52 am
Crawford is the mandatory.Posted February 23, 2014 10:30 pm
No way Burns beats Crawford, this will look like a miss-match, wait an see.Posted February 23, 2014 10:03 pm
Only Richard Abril could beat Terence Crawford. That would be a good close fight.Posted February 23, 2014 9:55 pm
You can always tell those who know boxing, and those who don’t.
Those who don’t know boxing think Burns will win because they haven’t bothered to watch Terence Crawford fight, and even then they still wouldn’t work out that Crawford is miles better than Burns.
Those who know boxing and have study both Burns and Crawford on video can see that Crawford is in a different class to Burns, who is brave, but very one dimensional and has a very poor defense. In contrast Crawford on the other hand is very quick, slick, and has great skills and has a good stoppage record. This will not go the distance, Burns will be totally out classed and will be stopped by Crawford.
Crawford is the real deal, he’s no Broner the moaner, Crawford is much better than him, and better than any other fighter from 135 to 140 and he’s still improving!
Crawford will win by TKO by the 6th round at the latest.Posted February 23, 2014 9:53 pm
I read that Burns lived the life of a champ, gym, running early nights and just recently I’ve read a few comments that he hasn’t stopped having late nights?
Over the last two outings it makes sense.Posted February 23, 2014 8:23 pm
Going to the fight and looking forward to it immensely, Poor article though as it doesnt mention the fact Ricky had a broken jaw for 10 rounds and it would be tremendous if he could silence the arrogant Americans once again as we done with Lacy,Mclellan etc. There is no doubt Crawford has skills but his heart and temprement will be tested it has never been tested before in this fight and we will see if he is as good as is being made out.Posted February 23, 2014 8:06 pm
Crawford is being overrated by the media. But Burns has not looked like himself the last couple of fights.Burns if he isnt at the end of his rope and still has gas in the tank he will beat Crawford, but he must look like the Burns of old…Posted February 23, 2014 7:27 pm
St Vitus – I understand where you are coming from – he looked great against Martinez and good against katsidis. But, I do feel he looked uncomfortable against Moses and was outclassed by Gonzales (who had to quit due to broken wrist). Then, of course, there was the Beltran fight – the less said about that, the better!! Maybe I will be proved wrong – but at the moment, I’m just not convinced he is world class.Posted February 23, 2014 7:19 pm
Is Crawford the mandatory? I don’t see why Burns would go after him otherwise. He’s too fast and slick for him. Unproven against top comp, but this is probably where he emerges.Posted February 23, 2014 7:02 pm
Hope Burns beats that Yank hype job.Posted February 23, 2014 6:59 pm
St Vitus Dance
The One, yes mate WORLD CLASS, Roman Martinez, reigning champion, Burns beat him, Paulus Moses, former champion, Michael Katsidis, Gonzalez, Burns beat them all. I’m not disputing that Beltran was ripped off and should be champion, but to say that Burns is “European class at best” is absolute crap.Posted February 23, 2014 6:47 pm
Taking Crawford by decision.Posted February 23, 2014 6:42 pm
I wish Burns all the best ! Cause his going to need all the luck one can get !Posted February 23, 2014 5:53 pm
COME ON RICKY!!!!!!!!Posted February 23, 2014 5:50 pm
Going to far to easy for burns, burns will stop crawford within 7 roundsPosted February 23, 2014 5:36 pm
“hope crawford is better than that last yank hype job broner.”
hope you grow a brain and watch a fighter before you make a dumb uninformed comment.Posted February 23, 2014 5:12 pm
hope crawford is better than that last yank hype job broner.Posted February 23, 2014 4:13 pm
St Vitus – Burns is world class? You are kidding me, right? He is European level at best and shouldn’t, by rights, be world champion – he was EASILY beaten in his last fight. I’m quite looking forward to seeing him get his racist ass knocked out.Posted February 23, 2014 4:07 pm
I’ll be surprised if Burns makes it past the 4th round. Crawford wins this easily.Posted February 23, 2014 3:39 pm

I will watch Burns-Crawford.Posted February 23, 2014 3:31 pm

So Burns, a big strong, world class fighter has basically no chance against a unproven (as yet) fighter? Crawford IS talented, but don’t just write off Burns chancesPosted February 23, 2014 3:21 pm
Burns by stoppage round 10, Crawford will be competitive in the early rounds then Burns will wear him out and stop him.Posted February 23, 2014 3:18 pm
Crawford wins by stoppage by the 6th round, although I wouldn’t be surprised if the fight was over much earlier. Crawford is much better Burns. He’s a great young boxer already and he’s still improving, Crawford has the potential to be the P4P number 1. He reminds me a lot of one my favorite fighters, Pernell ‘Sweet P’ Whittaker.Posted February 23, 2014 3:12 pm
