Oh yes, and I didn’t serve your dinner. We went to Nando’s, remember?Posted January 1, 2014 10:17 pm
P.S. Is it true that Amir carries a picture of Breidis Prescott to help him shed those extra pounds in the toilet before his weigh-ins?
You know, Khan lasted less than half a round against Prescott, who is currently ranked about 80th in the (147) division. Why doesn’t Amir grow some balls and try and avenge that defeat before he starts dreaming about fighting the P4P no. 1?Posted January 1, 2014 4:23 pm
“the consensus is a stoppage win over Pac”
No, the consensus is that Amir will get KTFO, just like Hatton did.
Regarding sparring: Manny is a nice guy, was Amir’s friend, knew the lad couldn’t take a punch, and had no reason to fire hard shots at him in sparring. I’m sure Freddy must have told Manny to work on certain things (e.g. foot/head movement) too, rather than on trying to catch Amir. I mean, that would have been easy, but why would Freddy ask him to do that? It would have just meant Amir couldn’t spar anymore and lose his confidence. Manny is a consummate professional, and does what he’s told by his trainer, but if you think you can predict from that kind of friendly sparring what would really happen in an actual fight (with no headguards, 8oz gloves etc.), you’re living in cloud-cuckoo land.
In short, your little “consensus” is made up of the wishful thinking and self interest of a tiny number of people, with the likes of Hunter going along with it because he knows he’ll get paid handsomely even if (that is: when) Amir gets sparked out.
The truth is that Amir wouldn’t stand much of a chance against the likes of Kell Brook at 147, never mind Mayweather and Pacquiao. I’d give him a shot against a 40 year old Morales at 140, but he’d better steer clear of most of those in the top ten of both the light welter and welterweight divisions if he wants his career to last much longer.Posted January 1, 2014 4:18 pm
khan is a joke and a complete hype job.Posted January 1, 2014 4:03 pm
Neither is intriguing. Khan needs to hit the comeback trail and rebuild his rep. But I don’t believe he’s interested in a longterm boxing career. He’s going to sit on the shelf, hope for a big payday, get KTFO and retire.Posted January 1, 2014 2:19 pm
Khan will be retired permanently if he chooses to fight the legendary Manny Pacquiao. This would be very ugly.Posted January 1, 2014 1:00 pm
Yes, my husband is right. And after my son destroys Manny and Floyd, he’s going to move up and KO Golovkin, then Kovalev, and finally the Klitschko brothers. He will then retire the most popular man in the world, and be elected Prime Minister of Britain and Pakistan, then the US President and will finally convert all the world to Islam and set up a global Caliphate.
Either that or he’ll get KTFO a few more times, retire and be vaguely remembered as an over-hyped Pakistani kid from Bolton who happened to be able to throw flurries of fast punches — you know, like a hare but with lower IQ and no chin due to inbreeding.Posted January 1, 2014 11:57 am
Neither match up is appealing because Khan is a joke and he is no match for either of them. The guy just wants a pay day.Posted January 1, 2014 5:36 am
Excuses are like A holes everybody got one. Kahn has had his butt beat more than once, so if the referee did this and that dont have anything to do with his skills and he has none, What style does he have to beat Floyd? His style never changed and it the same one that been getting his ass beat what a joke. As soon as any joe steps up and says they want to fight Floyd suddenly they have a style to beat him. Like Alverez was supposed to Knock him out yeah right, Floyd is too slick crafty and smart for A mere con. Ask Garcia so he got lucky? Last time i checked Garcia is undefeated I guess he has lucky all those other times too lol…Posted January 1, 2014 3:32 am
HATER, Comon please!
You want PACMAN vs Mayeather, who happens to be JMM’s leftover…, really?? Don’t get me wrong PACMAN is as good as they come…
He has 0 chance against eitherPosted January 1, 2014 1:30 am
Wow… I like Khan, he is good to watch and certainly is confident… However, Mayweather will punish Khan after about 3 or 4 rounds and Manny will get his first KO in a while if they were to fight!Posted January 1, 2014 12:58 am
Provodnikov vs rios! Know what I’m sayinnnPosted December 31, 2013 11:32 pm
Neither fight is appealing, how about Khan vrs Prescott???Posted December 31, 2013 10:59 pm
How about this! Khan vs Bradley???Posted December 31, 2013 9:38 pm
Khan does not deserve to fight mayweather! What ever happen to mandatory defenses? I would like to see mayweather vs Bradley!Posted December 31, 2013 9:32 pm
Can’t believe this is even a discussion. Khan gets destroyed by FMJ, Manny, and most others in the top 20 of 140/147. If FMJ signs to fight this guy, would be a huge discredit to FMJ.Posted December 31, 2013 8:50 pm
Khan doesn’t move his head and he fights in a figity never style….he has fast hands but he’s not an intelligent fighter. Mayweather will time and counter Khan all night until he stops Khan in the later rounds. The only way Floyd loses to Khan is if he doesn’t train hard and doesn’t take him seriously….Mayweather is too smart for that. The only two guys that would give Floyd a somewhat competitive fight right now are Garcia and Thurman.Posted December 31, 2013 7:34 pm
Any fight with Pac is more appealing. I show mayweather fights to my kids when they cant sleep at night. works a treatPosted December 31, 2013 7:33 pm
Oh yeah if I am not mistaken didnt Danny Garcia put Kahn on snooze time out? LOL Somehow Garcia is better than Floyd? I swear everyone has the skills to beat Floyd but come fight day no one can. Nothing is special about the Kahn man….Posted December 31, 2013 7:31 pm
Go buy your stocks in humble pie immediately. There will be plenty consumed in 2014. Khan will UD Mayweather Jnr a to the point of a mismatch and Floyd will lose his ‘GOAT’ and ‘ATG’ and ‘HOF’ tags in one swoop. Khan is faster, fitter, more powerful. You heard it here first. Mayweather will need another Ortiz sucker punch to get the ‘W’ in this one.Posted December 31, 2013 7:27 pm
Oops! Sorry. Wrong thread.Posted December 31, 2013 7:25 pm
What happened to all the other posts in this thread?Posted December 31, 2013 7:24 pm
Who cares Kahn been talking this Floyd crap for years, I think he just wants a big pay day, skill wise he will get his ass handed to him, He has no defense or a chin. He will be easy pickings. But hell this fight they both will make a ton of Money. Floyd can beat him and Maidana on the same night and got to the strip club afterwords with not a mark on his face. Bring on Manny so we can shut these pactards up….Posted December 31, 2013 7:16 pm
No match-up involving Khan is “appealing”, and he hasn’t earnt a shot at either of these two. Let him try to avenge his defeats at 140 first.Posted December 31, 2013 7:14 pm
If they already drew up the contracts then this Khan fight seems like it is going through. Plus FMJ hasn’t contacted Maidana yet.Posted December 31, 2013 7:06 pm
There is only one cherry picker anonomous and its not sugar ray or Ali his name starts with FPosted December 31, 2013 6:59 pm
He doesn’t deserve either he is a muppetPosted December 31, 2013 6:58 pm
I git some cheese burgers man, common man, please fight me, I be an easy fight. Please Mayweather you are the best.Posted December 31, 2013 6:45 pm
He is begging like a B**tch.Posted December 31, 2013 6:43 pm
Poor Khan he sounds like an idiot. He signed a contract that means nothing to GBP. He is being used by Mayweather and Schaefer.Posted December 31, 2013 6:42 pm
I can name 10 welters that can beet Khan. THIS IS A JOKE!!Posted December 31, 2013 5:57 pm
No fight involving Khan is appealing.Posted December 31, 2013 5:35 pm
Mayweather/Pacquiao, naturally.Posted December 31, 2013 5:31 pm
Cherry-picking all the way.
Fight Lara… or fight Garcia… or fight Pacquiao… Don’t pull a Sugar Ray Leonard or Muhammad Ali … and book the easiest possible opponent when killers are threatening to mow your O.Posted December 31, 2013 4:52 pm
Floyd sees the super negative feed back to the khan fight that’s why he hasn’t signed!Posted December 31, 2013 4:47 pm
I have a contract here to fight Floyd, I just need him to sign and I will take any test.Posted December 31, 2013 4:45 pm
the fights are not appealing at all Khan gets knocked out against Mayweather and Pacman, they are premier league, while Khan is conference league material i’m afraid.Posted December 31, 2013 4:05 pm
what fan base.Posted December 31, 2013 3:58 pm
Either way, he gets stopped. Khan is more hype than anything else. His fan base is the only reason he gets this fight, not his fighting ability.Posted December 31, 2013 3:35 pm
what ever one earns the hype job the the most dough.Posted December 31, 2013 3:33 pm
