You skull crus him like kovalev does to everyone. If cleverly stands there and tries to throw a ton of shots he’s gonna get skull crushed. In fact anyone who fights kovalev will get skull crushed. He’s the best and the best show to watch at light heavy

U right bout that my friend. But u must admit its ugly at times! But effective. I think one of these young guns will knock him off in the near future!

It may be boring but it is effective. You would think some of these young guys could out work him and actually put a little hurting on him. But these younger guys don’t take boxing as serious as Hopkins does and that is where the problem lies.

Kovalev n stevenson are the best at lhw. Bhops is on borrowed time. Plus his jab n grab style is so boring!

Tark sir dont count Clev out against Kovalov, he has unmatched work rate and a granite chin.

Good article and an interesting division. It seems that everyone is on the Kovalev bandwagon. I too think he is a monster of destruction, but he has yet to run into adversity that an experienced vet could present to him. I don’t want to see B-Hop fight Kovalev because doesn’t have many fights left in him and Kovalev is the wrong fighter to get old against. However, if old B-Hop can hold off Father Time one more time, he may teach Kovalev some tricks he never knew existed. As far as Adonis/Kovalev goes, it’s who catches who first!

Didn’t Pascal beat Dawson PRIOR to his two fights with Hopkins???

Bute will never be the man in any division. He is a B fighter at best

I agree with the consensus that Kovalev is the man at LHW.

Following Kovalev are Bute, Stevenson, Hopkins, and Dawson. It’s worth mentioning that once beaten Denis Grachev has marquee wins over Sillakh and Erdei is, IMO, a strong favorite to beat Rodriguez.

If he beats Rodriguez in a big way, I’d favor him to stop Stevenson in 1.

Kovalev’s only tough fight is with Cleverly… He should win that one by late stoppage or clearly on points.. He actually needs a tough 12-rounder like this to round out his skills … and then he should destroy Stevenson, Dawson, Pascal, Cloud, Hopkins … and anybody else in his path.

Shatterd Dreams

Adonis Stevenson though a seasoned fighter has come out of nowhere really, he’s showing some good form but it’s hard to know if he’s the real deal or just flash in the pan. Their’s hype surronding Adonis now time will tell, can he continue this winning streak?

Magomed, Kovalev is the more powerful player at 175 but Adonis, Cloud & Hopkins are worth mentioning; Adonis has one shot KO power so he can take anybody out including Kovalev, Cloud has serious power also(he was schooled by BH, but Bernard could do that to anybody) & old Bernard, like i said, could out-box anybody. Cleverly is good but he doesn’t have the power to compete with Kovalev.

there is only one name at lightheayweight all others are superfluous kovalev that’s all you need to know
