Skoglund set for back surgery, expected to be out for six months

Erik Skoglund is set to undergo back surgery on Thursday (February 5) to repair a herniated disc, and is expected to be out of the ring for at least six months while he completes his recovery and rehabilitation.

The Swedish star sustained the injury while preparing for his December fight with Glen Johnson, but was unaware of the full extent of the injury until a recent MRI scan. Continue reading
