Bute will always catch a lot of flack due to fact that Canadians made him up to be this super human who would KTSO Ward since they were both undefeated. Then he goes to Nottingham to get killed by Froch who couldn’t even win more than a single round against Ward. Its not the loss that got us mad it’s the way he lost to Froch. If he was in the super 6 we all know he would’ve lost to Froch, Kessler even to Dirrell lets exclude Ward and Abraham. When you start to see Bute for what he really is, B fighter at best. 168lbs division is stacked promoter cash out while you still can. I doubt he will beat Pascal who has a limited ring IQ either.

I despise boxing fans who want to trash the careers of a fighter just because he lost to a superior fighter. Of Course Froch is far better but it doesn’t mean these guys can’t continue their careers. Where would this sport be if they couldn’t? I like this fight. Both guys have little to gain but EVERYTHING to lose. The circumstances alone should make for a good fight. If you can’t appreciate that than you aren’t a boxing fan.

Interesting behind the scenes story. It’s indeed odd for the rival promoter to do dinner with the boxer to try and cut a deal. This would be like Arum doing dinner with Mares to make the Donaire-Mares fight. Would never happen.
