Haye dropped to the canvas a lot because he didn’t want Wladimir leaning on his back tiring him out… He had an injured foot and the leaning put pressure on the foot.. The knockdown wasn’t a knockdown, but a penalty for Haye dropping to the canvas so much.. It’s extremely frustrating for anybody to box with an injury … It was Haye’s own fault because he hid the injury from the promotion.. He pulled out of 2 other Klitschko fights due to injuries and it was beginning to get ridiculous, so he went ahead.. Vitali had 4 serious injuries in a row and he finally said, “Fck it.. I’m quitting Boxing.. I have to heal these injuries.” … He was out 4 years.

So REMOND wants to see Haye get his a** beat over 12 AGAIN vs Wlad, so soon? This guy probably is a self mutilator that loves to torture himself. Haye never had a chance and doesn’t now. He beat Chumpsora, whoopee!

Posted November 11, 2012 11:30 pm

But Chisora DIDN’T lose 4 fights in a row.. Since everybody but Robert Helenius’s mother knows Dereck really beat Helenius.. He lost 2 fights in a row to Vitali Klitschko and David Haye.. No shame in that.. How could you get credit for beating anybody if the critique was, “So you just beat Pulev? That’s no good because he lost his last fight.”

And as for your other comment — Foreman couldn’t handle a jab…. Even Sultan Ibragimov easily out-jabbed the jabless Shannon Briggs—but Briggs out-jabbed Foreman. No surprise because jabless Tommy Morrison also out-jabbed Foreman… Feather hitting Jimmy Young used his slick jab to bewilder a prime Foreman.. Young had roughly the same caliber jab Tomasz Adamek used to tattoo the bigger Chris Arreola—yet Adamek was out-jabbed by a million miles by Vitali … If Foreman had that much trouble with Jimmy Young’s jab—he never could have handled the masterful, rangy, swift, deceptive, powerful, and penetrating ATG jabs of the Klitschko Bros.

Sred….. Wladimir already beat Haye by near shutout—so Haye has to do more than look impossibly spectacular vs Chisora to get another Klitschko shot.. If he wiped out Price and Pulev in the same manner he beat Chisora he would obviously be entitled to another shot—but Vitali will be retired by then and getting his political career on track …. So I guess it will be Wladimir vs Haye again if Haye continues to perform well.

Povetkin has a poor man’s resume for a champ and is not training in no way for a K-bro fight. There is probably only one fighter who is taking a fight against the K-bros serious and respectfully. He is Pulev. He is setting himself, respecting who there are and has not cut corners in being ready to take them on in the ring. Pulev-Wlad 2013.

I forgot nothing Goosey. It’s not uncommon for one to congratulate oneself when one has written an outstanding post, which is something one does rather frequently on here, hence why I am universally regarded by my peers, all of the mods and of course admin as the greatest poster in this site’s short yet illustrious history. And that’s a fact by the way.

Mr Rubes

I would throw in Povetkin versus Wlad as another meaningful fight. Yes Povetkin looked terrible against Huck, but he is still undefeated Olympic Gold medallist, who holds solid wins over the likes of Chambers, Byrd, and Chagaev. And he has a tin belt around his waist. In fact I would easily call Povetkin the most deserving challenger for a Klitschko by far. Too bad he is a chicken.

Not Price . . . Pulev-Wlad 2013. Pulev is the only one who taken serious the size of the K-bros and has fought accordingly men of size with an impressive resume. Pulev has set his expressed his desire to make it happen in 2013. It is up to Wlad or Vitali. Pulev should be ranked 3rd under Vitali on every list. Pulev is a beast.

Haye needs to beat a few top contenders to deserve another title shot, vs Wlad or even old Vitali. Heck even Wlad is getting up in age and Haye fought – if you can call it that – like a scared rabbit vs Wlad.

Maybe Haye can beat 41 y/o Vitali… semi prime Vitali would abuse prime Haye.

Posted November 11, 2012 10:41 am

SREDMOND

Bears, what are you talking about??? Mormeck had been inactive for 2 FULL years before he was matched with Wlad at the age of 40 years old!!! He was a guy that Haye had capped years ago… See you don’t know anything about boxing and your ability to craft and argument is greatly undermined by your lack of intelligence and volatile emotions… Its OK for Wlad to face a 40 year old Mormeck coming off a 2 year layoff than it is for Vitali to face a guy who took a year off, destroyed his(Vitalis) toughest foe since Lewis, is both smaller and not native to the weight…. Dude its clear you are terrified David Haye is gonna BLAST Vitali Klitschko!!! What a lack of confidence you have SMH… Personally I would still favor Klits, due to his dimensions and chin but I see you don’t share my sentiments :)

Posted November 11, 2012 6:42 am

SREDMOND

The reality is that you guys cannot stand to see Vitali challenged for even a second!!! When Chisora gave him a tough fight we had to hear injury excuses, false characterizations (he fought with one hand) even though he was throwing it and all manner of BS to try and preserve a pristine image of OLD Klits… He still won the bout going away but that is NOT good enough… NOW we wanna give him big cred for Charr a nobody, but keep him away from a guy who’s best days were not at HW?? Like I have said before if Vitali is gonna go looking for another Wach or Charr he might as well retire and take his chances in Politics

Posted November 11, 2012 6:36 am

SREDMOND

Tark, I see you being a real hypocrite, you love to bash a MUCH older Foreman for his performances against young fighters who were actually native to the HW division but you want to protect Vitali at 41 from David Haye??? I guess you do regard age as relevant… Vitali has not lost in 10 years and he is a standing Champ, Foreman was PAST 45 and when he had a hard fight with a younger man you wanted to fully ding him ie Shultz and Briggs who MOST thought he beat at the age of 47 or so…. Reality is that you want Vitali in the witness protection program from a Cruiserweight (Sad) If Klits wants to retire that is fine but if he is going to fight, it should be against David Haye…You love to bash Ali for getting reamed by an ATG like Holmes when his deterioration at close to 39 was clear, points loss to Spinks, 2 years off but now you want only EASY fights for a standing Champ??? Suspect!!

Posted November 11, 2012 6:32 am

SREDMOND

Bears, you seem pretty inflamed at the notion that David Haye might be able to land one on Vitalis jaw…Oh well then why don’t you call for his retirement? You seem Ok with him fighting anyone who comes from outerspace and has NO handspeed but NOT OK with him facing a guy he spots 35 pounds and towers over?? I would say its illogical given Klits physical advantages but the truth is I smell your fear… You REALLY changed your tune when you saw that lights out KO of Chisora, none of this jabbing for 10 rounds and a safe stoppage just RAW power and speed…. So are you saying Vitali should retire, yes or no?? If not he should fight Haye its the biggest bout at HW available!!

Posted November 11, 2012 6:27 am

TARK

Too me, Vitali shouldn’t fight Haye… Wladimir looked better and faster than ever at 36 in outclassing the huge iron jawed Wach.. I’m sure when he’s 41 he won’t be fast and agile as a cat.. Vitali is 41.. That’s not an age you fight the fastest, most skilled, and hardest punching challenger the K Bros ever fought right at his peak.. Vitali is a politician and needs to concentrate on that because he’s had an unbelievable run in Boxing… Vitali’s chin and reflexes might be 30 but his legs are 60—injured badly and repeatedly during his kickboxing career.. When Vitali slipped and fell during the Adamek fight, I thought, OMG, HIS LEGS!!! The way he got up was like a 92 year old man. Fortunately he didn’t injure them and has learned to move well on them. But it’s a excellent time to retire. Let Haye fight Wladimir who doesn’t have Vitali’s chin, but on the other hand is 5 years younger—and doesn’t have any leg problems.

Frank the Klits last several opponents have one thing in common they beat 0 top 10 fighters Charr, Wach, Mormeck, Thompson…Chisora had been ranked and was elevated for his effort against Vitali, Haye blew him out and so why does Haye have to do something NONE of the Klits recent opponents had to do??? Reality is that you guys don’t believe in Vitali Klits anymore especially the traitor Bears who thinks his hero cannot deal with a former Cruiser… Pathetic

Posted November 11, 2012 12:42 am

SREDMOND

Frank your assertion was WEAK first of all he had his way with Helenius and Vitali sure as hell did not hurt him… Chisora was so game he was throwing punches till the bell rang at the end of the fight with Vitali.. He even had enough chutzpah to fight Haye at the postfight presser… Neither Fury, Vitali nor Helenius came close to stopping Chisora or put him down…Haye gets BIG props for crushing him like that in 5 rounds coming off a layoff…. Klits could only pile up the points and not even hurt him…. Seriously admit you are nervous that Haye will knock the gray out of Vitalis head…

Posted November 11, 2012 12:39 am

SREDMOND

Haye is the BIGGEST fight the Klits can make and EVERYONE knows that… He bent Wlad over for 50% of the pie when they fought because that type of money is nowhere else in boxing… Vitali would enjoy his BIGGEST payday with David Haye but you would rather not see this former Cruiser punching your boy in the face…. Why do you mention Fury for Chisora??? Then you must not give Vitali credit for beating Chisora because I did not hear you mention the Fury loss when Vitali was facing Chisora??? Face Facts David Haye WAYYYYYYY outperformed Vitali against Derek despite the excuses… That is why you are selling out your hero, you don’t think he can beat a FAST, athletic fighter who can make contact… You only wanna see him in with plodders who cannot connect….Shameful!

it doesnt matter if haye stopped chisora and vitaly didnt. vitaly was injured and rafael called it right away. i know you think we dont factor the facts into our assessments but we do. u want to attribute some kind of greatness to haye and inadequacy to vitaly and it just doesnt cut the mustard. cant dodge the reality of the situation. chisora couldnt get past fury, i would hope he couldnt get past haye. lol. then you say “thats how you sell a fight” thats how haye sells to the ass licking haye dogs like yourself. nobody else in the world is “sold” thats why haye has no draw. thats why if haye gets a fight together noone makes a point to watch it live. i never did until he got in the ring with klitschko or the drama around chisora. the same went for the world. your assessments are just F.U.B.A.R. little nicca

Posted November 10, 2012 11:28 pm

“He didn’t talk shIIit” thats how you sell fights and thats why Vitali vs Haye would do 4times what either could make against anyone else… Charr can’t talk because no one knows him.. You sound like a GIRL as if your feelings were hurt… Bottomline is you answered my question Charr has not done anything in the sport NEVER been Champ like Haye and never beat a fighter regarded like Chisora… AGAIN Vitali wanted him before why not make that money now if he is gonna keep fighting?? If not retire and let your scared fans breathe easy while your last memory is anothe inept opponent (Charr)

Posted November 10, 2012 11:13 pm

SREDMOND

Even Vitali said that Chisora beat Helenius so kill the noise with the legit 3 in a row losses by Derek… Other than that why did Vitali fight a guy coming off a loss??? NOW on to the real deal… NO ONE had even hurt, Chisora and that includes a guy with the historically high stoppage percentage… Haye KILLED Chisora in a manner that neither Fury nor Vitali came close to (Helenius got a GIFT)…Vitali wanted him off a loss why not now?? Let Vitali bust the guy up for a huge check unless you think that Klits is gonna get knocked out by a former Cruiser??

Posted November 10, 2012 11:08 pm

SREDMOND

Frank and Bears, Vitali QUIT a sin in boxing and redeemed himself… Haye came back and blasted Chisora OUT now he has set the table for a BIG fight with Vitali… But now all Vitalis fans do NOT wanna see that guy throwing those FAST bombs at Vitalis head no matter how much Klits will make??? Klits wanted Haye coming direct off that loss NOW that he has restored his image he is too dangerous and Vitali is too old?? OK then retire Vitali because Haye is the ONLY fight out there for you worth discussing unless you are going to fight Wlad… Another Charr and Vitali ends his career a laughingstock!

Posted November 10, 2012 10:52 pm

The oddsmakers and everyone who knows boxing had Wach as a no hoper and boy did he EVER validate that assertion… Honestly he made Chisora look like terrific by comparison… Wach was slow, inactive, had poor defense, balance and looked lost.. His only redeeming quality was his ability to absorb punishment with no credible return fire… What are you gonna mention one shot that landed on Wlad???

Haye fought him before he faced Wlad so how is that relevant to a possible Vitali fight?? Haye was last seen blasting Vitalis last opponent and were you not just pumping up Price who I believe is repping off Harrison who Haye smashed well before him??? I’m on to you Bears :)

Reem, Vitali did win but the reality is that he was pushed and looked very uncomfortable against a guy that the FAR smaller David Haye produced a highlight reel KO against.. Chisora was not one of Vitalis best nights meanwhile Haye stopped a fighter that had shown a cast iron chin prior to David turning out his lights

Posted November 10, 2012 9:57 pm

SREDMOND

Rubes IT is documented that Vitali was going after a fighter coming off of a LOSS and then when he destroyed Chisora his fans suddenly said “Vitali is too old” and made up 100 excuses when Vitali was set to face a guy YOUNGER and BIGGER than Haye… Naturally a Haye/Vitali fight has FAR more luster because David came back and did something to help repair his reputation after the Wlad debacle….I don’t think Vitali is quite as worried as his fans are…. If he is going to fight again it should be Haye, for legacy, economics and visibility… No one knows who these other guys are… Haye is the 3rd biggest name in the HW division…

Williams is hard to look good against–sort of a James Toney type–lose lose situation for Helenius. Out of those 11 losses only one was by ko

Posted November 10, 2012 9:49 pm

Mr Rubes

Sredmond get your facts right, it is DOCUMENTED that Haye was OFFERED a fight with Vitali on September 9th this year and Haye TURNED it down, either out of fear or because he knew he could make a lot of money and have much less a chance of losing against Chisora. So Vitali went with Charr. Only Klitschko haters and Brits claim that Vitali ducked Haye. In any case I’m sure we will see the fight next year but all this talk and insinuation that Vitali is running from Haye when Haye was offered and TURNED down the original date, is pure hating and ignorance. Haye fanboys will never learn

Rubes, the reason why I think a Haye fight is unlikely is that as you say Vitali is a man of honour……….and I think Vitali respect the sport of boxing and obviously his home country too much to only give each only half of his attention………..especially as this Haye fight would really need a lot more preparation than the usual opponents for Vitali.
If he REALLY wanted to fight Haye……..then he would have this fight THEN get into his political career………like I said Vitali is unlikely to do things by half measure………so either he is fully committed to his politics or he is fully committed to boxing……….not both.

Mr Rubes

Vitali is a man of honour and pride too KL, and for this reason he will have a burning desire to silence Haye and finish on a high, not on a Charr. So despite being heavily involved in politics, I strongly believe we will see the fight.

I really hope Vitali-Haye happens, but I’m sure it will happen next year. And Vitali, even in his advanced age, will still totally dominate Haye. Haye has a perfect style for Vitali. I’m looking forward to it. The arrogant British loudmouth being humbled.

Interesting Vitali is YOUNG enough to beat on the YOUNGER and BIGGER Charr but a fight with Haye is out of the question??? Hey if Vitali wants to retire on Charr, I am fine with that but if he continues he should fight David Haye, it would be the BIGGEST bout out there outside of Vitali/Wlad at HW….Funny the same guys that said Lewis should have given Vitali 2 shots near the end of his career seem scared to see Klits fight a guy who’s best days were at Cruiserweight??? I’m just say’in :)

A disappointing show by Helenius…………I thought he would put on a show………just to make a statement that he is back, and ready to mix it with the best contenders…… sadly I saw nothing tonight that even puts Helenius in the mix………… his inability to land on Williams points more to lack of timing than to any injury not quite healed.
A better calibre boxer would no doubt have managed to deck or even stop Helenius when he was badly rocked tonight.

Vitali is way over the hill, what would a match with haye really prove anyway? That haye could beat a faded Vitali. Don´t forget Haye has had several chances to meet Vitali. Haye always wanted Wlad anyway because he was viewed as the weaker brother. Now when Vitali starting to look really old and slow, Haye is suddenly all over him.

Bears, NO ONE reasonable thinks Chisora lost to Helenius… That said when Haye got him he had legit lost to Fury and then Vitali who he gave his toughest fight in years… Fury, Helenius and Vitali could NOT touch the job that Haye did on Chisora… Excluding him from the mix is a MARKER of your fear he will get in that ring and catch your boy…He is NOT one of these SLOW HW’s… He gives up size but his speed allows for contact something the Wachs and Charrs of the world cannot boast…Like it or not Haye is the next fight for Vitali or he is gonna retire…. There is no one else

there is just a ton of fighters at heavy we want to see in the ring and wach is definetly one of them. the heavyweight division is not the klitschkos and haye. haye shouldve already fought again by now. he is a non factor. he can “MAKE HIMSELF” a factor if he is as you say redmond this big part of heavyweight boxing. i just dont agree. Haye is a good fighter for sure but after the wlad performance. adding a fourth a fifth consecutive loss on chisora is “not enough” to make everyone forget wlad vs haye where haye kept flopping to the canvas and sucked and got his ass utterly dominated. wach did more than haye could in his fight with wlad tonight and took a ton more shots. im all for haye putting in the work and making himself relevant. i think he could do it and make for some good fights. but i think he will not and i think that makes haye irrelevant. my thoughts on that

Posted November 10, 2012 7:53 pm

I’ll go on record, Seth Mitchell would blow Helenius OUT of the ring…. Rafael or one of these guys mentioned that fight… Mitchell is aggressive like Chisora but with a bigger punch… Helenius looks like this against a journeyman???

Wach=Cobb but back then we fight fans knew Cobb was a club fighter.Today people tried to build up Wach as a undefeted dangerous fighter…because he beat cans. When I first seen Wach fight I knew where he stood.Next people will say he could beat Ali because of his size and chin..lol..I wouldnt be shocked to hear this.

Posted November 10, 2012 7:49 pm

these guys are pathetic compared to the class of Wlad! I mean after seeing that fight this is a joke!
Helenius is boxing like an idiot to me(Golovkin would have already destroyed both of these fighters.)

Haye is VERY relevant he and Vitali is one of the ONLY fights worth watching and it has been strongly discussed…Vitali fans don’t want it because god forbid Haye lands on Klits WHOA!!! If Vitali does not retire he should fight Haye and the interest and money is there… Anyone denying that is not following boxing… That Chisora beatdown scared you eh Bears??

haye is irrelevant if he is not retired he will retire if he doesnt get a klitschKO fight and no pro sports analyst is behind him. lennox lewis even recently said haye has a deplorable battle with a klitschko retires and then comes back and wants to call out a klitschko again. lennox said noone wants to see that. haye has become largely irrelevant. nobody in boxing is talking about haye. he’s RETIRED. to talk about haye vs wach and its “potential” implications makes no sense at this time in wachs ‘YOUNG” career. but thanks for trying sredmond

Consider the knowledge of such a weak opponent while training and couple it with his trainer and good friend just passing. Then he busts this fker to pieces anyways. No matter what Wlad does some will never give credit. I bet both Fury nor Price could withstand that onslaught. They would find a spot on the canvas to bow out. Do any of you believe he took Wach truly serious? Yesterday he “looked nervous ” at the weigh in. He was so scared he beat the dude in an ungodly manner…..ffs

Posted November 10, 2012 7:33 pm

BEARS

we have fights below the championship level to sort out sredmond. thompson could fill a role in that process. not every fight is a championship bout in fact most are not. this is common knowledge. there are good fights to be made at heavyweight to be made that are not neccessarily championship fights and guys that are probably not gonna be champs often times still have what it takes to test these prospects and contenders. thompson is relevant in that conversation.

Posted November 10, 2012 7:32 pm

Wach should try new tactics: DO NOT ram your head into your opponents fist as often as possible! Yes, you might break your opponnent’s hand, but it does give you some serious headache and slurred speech in the long run!

Helenius fighting against a short, fat 40-year old. Great.

Posted November 10, 2012 7:31 pm

So much for the whole glass-chin theory.: Klit absorbed a monster shot from a big puncher. Foreman is right, taking a punch is 75% mental. When Wlad had his rough spot his head was not right. Granted he is not an iron-chinned fighter but his chin is certainly no worse than Lennox Lewis’

Posted November 10, 2012 7:30 pm

SREDMOND

Bears did you really just mention Thompson again??? This shows you have no feel for the sport… Thompsons done he is NEVER fighting for a real Championship, he had been beating bums in between Klit KO’s, he is 40 years old and from here its ALL downhill…Wach has VERY little skill and a blind man can see that… He did not have to win but his lack of speed and craft was obvious to a REAL fight fan…. Being able to take a beating does not make you the man… Chisora did 5X better against Vitali and gave him a hard night… Learn boxing stop being a fanboy

Posted November 10, 2012 7:30 pm

SREDMOND

Haye is FAR from a Non factor he just destroyed a fighter that Vitali, Helenius nor Fury could stop GTFOH…. Wachs stock is nowhere other than where it was the dude showed he has NO shot against a World Class fighter, he is SLOW, inept and does not use his advantages in height at all… He beats bums and his performance absent his chin reflects that…

I think Wach is underrated. Its hard to fight a guy that big with that good of a jaw.
Tyson Furry is even bigger, much better offense but a weak chin.
I am really excited about David Price, but only the future will tell what he can do.
By the way, Wlad showed a decent chin didn’t he? But I do think he is slipping too, father time is an opponent no one can defeat.

yeah man, it has made me teary eyed. Im so fond of steward. He’s like a walking boxing college. I seriously think steward shouldve made volumes of boxing text books. I cant think of anything that could be a bigger blow to boxing then loosing emanuel honestly. its sad for many reasons. a loss to us, a loss to fighters and aspiring fighters, a loss to the sweet science itself and i probably no better analyzer of the sport. I think he’s the greatest coach/analyst of all time if you ask me.

Bears, we have a brief moment of agreement, Stewards loss was tragic but I have full respect for Wlads handling of the matter and his committment to ongoing professionalism in Stewards absence… No matter my thoughts on Klits, he is certainly one of Stewards biggest success stories and he certainly has done Steward proud…
