Unless Wilder fights Wlad there’s no reason to believe one thing he says. 1 Wlad demolished him in camp and dropped him repeatedly including with a jab. 2. Wilder’s comp is the worst of the worst. He’s taken the easiest road to a title shot of any mandatory challenger in memory. So if he lucks into beating Stiverne logic and history say he cherry picks weak comp and avoids Wlad.Posted August 18, 2014 9:19 pm

i never made a reference to anyone having a better resume than wilder so i dont know what tangent your spinning off into.
your talking lower rung wlad opponents and were yet to see what wach brings. i would put money on wach to beat tyson fury and ustinov. would love to see wach vs jennings (which WAS in the makings but scrapped now)
wlad takes on the best available if they will get off their a$$ and fight thats common knowledge. THAT SAID, If wlad fills STADIUMS making millions being he 25th highest paid ahelete in the world fighting the pianeta’s because top tens REFUSE to step whats your beef mo fugga?
wlad VOLUNTARY against wach was AWESOME. he volintarily took on a dude who was a namer. had some recognition and scary ko’ed a dude who murked mike tyson
leapai was not voluntary it was mandatory. take your beef to the ibf/ibo BIATCH.

Ive been smashed in the face with a crow bar, hit by a car, smash in the head a ribs with an aluminum baseball bat punched in the mouth with brass knuckles and not ko’d, this may explain why im nutts but it also explains why wilders bum wont knock me out. I am getting old so maybe lol.Posted August 18, 2014 2:48 pm

Sucker punch your spot on brother.
Look if someone wants to get upset with me and say “eric’s humor is in bad taste” okay I can live with that but to get mad about the Truth is not.
And for the record all of wilders past opponent s not only wouldn’t knock me out cold im certain I could drop a few of them myself.
I make no claims of being Barney badazz that’s forsure, however im am sure wilder has been feasting on bums, that’s a fact, I don’t need to research anything.Posted August 18, 2014 2:40 pm
Alexander- Those tomato cans may be able to knock us out in seconds, but I don’t think many people here have ever boxed professionaly. Must bloggers here are boxing FANS. Eric summation is 100% correct. Would a fire fighter brag about putting out a trash can fire? To a regular person a trash can fire is a big deal, but a to a fire fighter it is nothing to brag about. Would a US Marine or a Navy Seal brag about taking out an old man witha gun. A civilian might, but not a prprofessionally trained soldier. Would an 8th grade teacher brag about the ease with which he or she teaches the time table? No, the would proud themselves about how their students grasp algebra quickly. People must always strive to be the best at their profession. From thag perspective all of Deontay Wilder’s opponents have been bums and tomato cans. Ring fodder and DW nor anyone else for that matter should brag about him doing what was expected of him. Leave the bragging for when he faces a true challenge and a test to his skills. Or are you of the opinion that the PAYING fans should not make their rightful opinion known?Posted August 18, 2014 11:39 am
as bad as wilder and fury are I think their resumes are no different to wach, pianetta, mormeck at HW and a whole bunch of other pretenders. None of these heavies want to mix it up with each other. It is killing the sport. The great Wlad is left totally unchallenged. Wilder MUST fight stiverne next. Fury will always be remembered as the man who ran from ustinov.Posted August 18, 2014 10:58 am
I really don’t see what purpose this fight served. “Stay busy fight” isn’t even good enough reason for Wilder fighting a nobody nobody. Yeah, I said that twice.Posted August 18, 2014 10:43 am
Bears, below you trash Tyson Fury that said HOW is Furys resume inferior to Wach, Pianeta, Mormeck (at HW) Lepai, or Charr? This is the typical DUNG that we see in the HW division yet you try and defend the indefensible when it suits you… MoronPosted August 18, 2014 10:16 am
Bears, I agree that Wilder has a WEAK azz resume that said how is it MORE impressive than Wachs, Lepai’s Pianetas, Charrs or Mormecks? only difference is that Wilder has NOT been letting ANY of the bums he fights hear the bell… Do you see NOW how your filthy double standards leave your panties soiled and my handprint across your face blazed in crimson???Posted August 18, 2014 10:14 am
Bears, Poster regarding Wilder…………..
wilder talking klitschko? why cant wilder fight a top 10-20 fighter? wtf dude? wilder your on par with tyson fury. u have fought NO ONE. your body if work is so lacking its hard to say anythinggood about u. cant even comment much on your boxing cause we have not seen it. its cool u knock cats out and i dig it but butterbean does that too son

Tark, maybe you should give Wilder’s people a call see if they are interested in bringing you into camp for the Stiverne fight. They want the next level in boxing now and your a guy whose been there and coached many athletes there. Maybe it’s time to leave ESB and finally utilize your past. LMFAOPosted August 18, 2014 3:46 am

Deontay is in a super great position. He’s the mandatory challenger for Bermane Stiverne. All he needs to do is knock Stiverne stiff.
Wladimir wants the WBC Heavyweight Championship and Wilder will be holding it. If he gets past Pulev and Wilder gets past Stiverne — Klitschko vs Wilder will be one of the top PPV’s of all time.Posted August 18, 2014 2:59 am
He can only take on what is put in front of him. Test will be when he takes on Stiverne. No denial of his power , but his chin is yet to be truly tested and his skills seem to be lacking a bit. However the size advantage he has makes up for most of his shortcomings, until he fights Wlad that is.Posted August 18, 2014 2:55 am
GBP are wilders pimp. They want to sell a virgin to wlad.
They will not let a proper stiff rod near their little floozy.
That just means when the bedroom door closes was is gonna make her REAL sore.Posted August 18, 2014 1:10 am

An easy win for Wlad. Let it happen while he is still a virgin with 0 losses. Wilder is nothing but another KO for Wladimir.
Meant all 3 of these fighters have been KO’d since.Posted August 17, 2014 11:17 pm
Still don’t know anymore about Wilder. 32 KO’s in 32 fights, but only 3 of his victims with over 5 fights hadn’t been KO’d before. All 3 of these fighters have been KO’d before. Not clear just how hard a puncher he is at this point. The manner in which he KO’s them has been impressive, and shows good power, but does it translate to power at the championship level? unfortunately with Stivernes huge flaw of sitting on the ropes without proper foot or head movement we still may not know. Stiverne will win if it goes past 5 rounds, but if he tries to take shots like he did in his loss to King to setup his counters he will get KO’d by Wilder.Posted August 17, 2014 11:17 pm

It is not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled, or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena; whose face is marred by the dust and the sweat and the blood; who strives valiantly; who errs and comes up short again and again; who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions and spends himself in a worthy cause; who at best, knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who, at worst, if he fails while daring greatly; so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat. He can’t boxPosted August 17, 2014 7:46 pm
“Wilder has to stop Stiverne early not let him get warmed up.”
Deontay doesn’t need to do that…
DW shouldn’t take big chances to end it early. Stiverne will be very well warmed up in the dressing room—like he’s already gone 5 rounds.. He’ll be expecting Wilder to pull the trigger early and unload his arsenal of bombs.
This will be Stiverne’s 27th professional fight.. He has enough experience and skill to where he’ll be prepared for anything.. If this fight goes 4 rounds or 12 rounds Deontay has to defend himself well… box very well… score points… be patient… and not get crazy.
It’s well known that Deontay’s temperament is volatile. I expect Bermane to try to take advantage of that by talking trash to him, and possibly even fouling him… If he can throw Deontay off his game he’ll have a better chance of catching him with something big.
Prep number 1… DON’T FORGET!! Stiverne carries a KO punch of his own.
Deontay has to be prepared to go 12 – and be prepared for anything a veteran might try… Ali didn’t have a prayer against Larry Holmes so he tried to piss him off… Didn’t work.
DW needs to be cool and collected – and ignore BS antics if BS pulls them.Posted August 17, 2014 7:35 pm
Wilder far better fighter than Stiverne and Vladi look out…his jab is looking more crisp than yours …uh oh…Posted August 17, 2014 6:35 pm
F#ck you Deontay. He’s made a fool of us all with this fight. Absolute joke. How can he be taken seriously still fighting these guys. F#ck him.Posted August 17, 2014 5:54 pm
stivernes a solid proven 12 rounder. wilder isnt! if this fight goes deep, i see stiverne winning.Posted August 17, 2014 5:43 pm
if Wilder captures the WBC title, i hope he lives up to his statement of wanting Klitchko. i would give him respect for that. somehow i dont think that will happen. Stiverne has greater skills and expeirence. if he can take the big windmill shots that Wilder will throw, he will drag him into deep water. Wilders management will be his greatest downfall. no real tests, no going into the championship rounds will hurt him. as he gets with better opposition they wont just fall over, they will punch back. they should have tested him well before now, at 20 fights he should have moved up, i wont call any pro boxer a bum, but his resume is poor. it will catch up with him, his handlers are to blame, he can only beat whats in front of him.Posted August 17, 2014 5:36 pm

Wilder has to just jump on Stiverne because he’s not the hardest guy in the world to tag clean and this fight is 100percent a case of who lands big first. If Stiverne lands a big punch it’s goodbye Wilder, if Wilder lands a big punch it’s goodbye anyone. So I think Wilder has to stop him early not let him get warmed upPosted August 17, 2014 3:54 pm

I do not understand how one can fight 32 fights and not even a Fringe contender His best opponent Malike Scot can’t punch, next best Sergie Lahovic a former champion is a shot fighter 4 fights before. Halenius , and Bryant Jennings soften up Lahovic for Deontay Wilder. As I text before Deontau Wilders handlers must see, and know something about his Mental makeup is chin, and his heart. Must have the heart of the tin man in Wizzard of OZPosted August 17, 2014 3:43 pm

Alexander, great comment about the keyboard tough guys, they are the chumps, don’t have any idea how long 3 min. are , or what it feels like to get hit with 10 oz gloves , wilder plaid it perfect, he got his shot and now he will move up , and i wish him the best . It takes a special breed of man to step through those rope , and one can only be judged by a group of ones peers , just like in the old hood, you never worried about the big mouths….Posted August 17, 2014 3:28 pm
Wilder has great height (6’8″) and great reach and it looks like he has a good jab and a good right hand with power.
But, Wilder seems too light (225 pounds) to seriously challenge the Klitchkos or some of the other bigger heavyweights.
His power may not move a 245 pound man.
His power may make a 260 pound man laugh.
In addition, Wilder did not look great against Gavern who is an out of shape landscaper. Wilder did not hit Gavern with anything that really hurt Gavern. The knockdowns seems more like Gavern’s lack of skill and lack of balance rather than real power from Wilder.
I would like to see Wilder take on real competition before he steps up to the Klitschko’s … whether he fights Adamek or Arreola or Stiverne or Jennings or some of the Russian guys who are not one of the Klitschko’s. And I would like to see Wilder gain some weight … maybe 10-20 pounds.
Honestly, he could be great but he seems like he still needs to develop.Posted August 17, 2014 3:14 pm
