Berto is going to turn the ghost inot a ghost,,,,,,pooof he gone

TARK

These two are not P4P fighters and never will be…. Robert is a great guy and I like him a lot, but I don’t see him beating Mayweather, Pacquiao, Bradley, Alexander, Marquez or Brook at this weight. I can see why the Guerrero team zeroed in on Berto who lost a clear UD to Victor Ortiz. Ortiz is a quitter with no jab and is easy to hit. Robert should catch Berto with left uppercuts, left hooks, liver shots, right hooks, and jabs, but Guerrero looked terrible in his last fight. He took too many punches from a hittable guy with no weapons. The referee aided him by breaking a ton of clinches. I see a very interesting, sloppy, and close fight because they both get hit … Berto is a bigger and stronger welterweight so he may have a slight edge.

Berto has speed but seems chinny. The slower Ghost has lots of heart and talent. The speed will slow as the fight gos on but heart and talent don’t fade. The Ghost pulls out a tough win in this one!

Chavez Jr new nickmame should be puffy and Bertos the juicer.

Interesting fight. Guerro is very talented but Berto is a big dude.

meanwhile, we can confidently assume that Berto was never “naturally” bigger, stronger, or faster than his opponents. Btw, what a pissy double-standard. Berto’s caught juicing and everyone diligently ignores this drug-cheats’ priors. Chavez Jr. gets busted sipping or taking a puff of MaryJane and every pissy ESB housewife goes absolutely apoplectic that he wasn’t fined, suspended, stripped, and officially banned from every fighting below 175lbs ever again. is it any wonder why i frequently speculate that At-Least 90% of ESB posters are absolutely boxing-ignorant Imbeciles?

Btw, i’m fine if neither fighter requests random testing. that way they can both juice equally against each other but i would be interested to see Berto’s reaction to that request. i’m also interested in watching a thinner, slower, and less muscular Berto try and overpower the naturally smaller but taller and more talented Guerrero. based on that alone, i give the decisive edge to Guerrero whose already accustomed to dealing with quicker handspeed and outclassing less-skilled opponents, which may very well be the role that Andre “The Juiced” Berto assumes in this matchup.

Ghost on points

This is a 50/50 toss up, I’m leaning towards Guerrero after I saw berto vs Zavec no improvements whatsoever.Zavec was about to go in on him had it not been for his eye & stoppage.Berto is too predictable but Guerrero has a suspect chin & is no heavy hitter by any means.

The Russian Tyson

I think that choosing to fight Berto is a mistake and a bad move on Guerrero`s part.

berto got this

Ike

This is a solid, pick ‘em matchup. I slightly favor Berto. The winner is in line for a Mayweather shot.

Guerrero is getting a bit too big for his boots. Berto will bring him down to earth. I’m picking stoppage mid rounds, maybe sooner.

Whiteyfiveo

I leaning towards Berto on this. Weight, speed and power in Bertos favor. HE is about to go to 154. Guerrero should never of passed up 140! Berto to walk thru Robert;s punches, ko’s him in 9th

Peej

Exactly what I have been saying and then folks tell me no big names want to fight him. I will take Berto by late stoppage in this. Not a Guerrero fan

Edgar Guevara

Robert Guerrero haven’t fought any big name in any weight class to win a title.

Posted October 18, 2012 6:27 pm

big head

aydin was suppose to be bigger and stronger then guerrero to you see how that turn out but berto is better then aydin much more faster and explosive it comes down to if guerrero can take berto punches and how he react to em if he can then guerrero got a chance berto not a good inside fighter if guerrero can get on the inside go to the body guerrero got a shot then people think even know berto is bigger

Trevor

If the average fan believes that Guerrero is the perfect fighter as his manager DeCubas says then they must believe that Mitt Romney misspoke when he spoke about the 47%.

im feeling this fight and think it’l make for a nice night….yezzzir!!

I am surprised Berto’s team didn’t go after Malinaggi. The timing probably didn’t work w/ Berto’s steriod cycle. How stupid do you have to be to test positive for a blood test You requested?

hecdog

Berto is the naturally bigger, faster, stronger fighter. Guerrero isn’t very smart in taking this fight. He’s a 135 pounder and has no business fighting Berto. Guerrero is a good all around fighter, but it’s not going to happen for him in this fight. He may gets topped.

Holy smokes, this looks like a good match-up!

Savagmex – 147lbs player!

Posted October 18, 2012 2:17 pm

Savagmex

Guerrero has no business at 140.. Berto should get him out of there by the 5th round…Guerrero vs Bradley would of been dope

Jake Lead Rights

Berto is such a puss he lead everyone to believe that he was going to fight K9 then he chooses little Robert Guerrero. I dont take anything away from Robert but he isn’t a natural WW. Berto is a big WW and should buzz saw through Robert. If he has a hard time and Robert makes him look bad then I would hope to see him slowly fade away from boxing. This whole PED thing is looming over Berto and he needs to redeam himself.

Posted October 18, 2012 1:35 pm

srminimo

Berto should be the overwhelming favorite to win this fight. He’s bigger, stronger, faster and has fought the better opposition. Or at least he WAS, when he was on steroids. If Guerrero can beat Berto in a convincing fashion I’ll shut my trap about him, even though his promotional engine still drives me crazy.

From Detroit

Sounds like an evenly matched fight. I’ll watch it.

Cheese Cake

Boxing is so full of s***: “We originally went after the WBO Champion Timothy Bradley and he didn’t want to defend his title against a guy like Robert because he knew he would lose. ” Yeah sure…And Berto is gonna make sure Guerrero never fights again at 147.

but that why it going to be a enertaining fight both guys got flaws and robert did show he can take a good punch i slighty favor the ghost to win this atleast right now i do

Posted October 18, 2012 12:07 pm

big head

i think berto power and speed going to be a problem for guerrero but berto do got a layoff so idk how sharp he will be or ring rust i think guerrero toughness and heart and technique can be trouble for berto to i think guerrero stamina is a lil better then berto so i can see robert outworking berto if berto is sharp and the layoff dnt got no affect then he could win cause the way robert was getting hit by aydin with right hands and berto way more faster

Posted October 18, 2012 12:02 pm

Moonshineman

I don’t like Berto much, but he will beat Guerrero, who is ALL MOUTH.

wearerofallthebelts

Saying a fighter has been “avoided” usually gives the impression that other fighters are afraid. In this case Robert has been avoided because he bores everyone to death. No one has ever avoided Guerrero because he was “too big and too skilled”. That’s nonsense. The guy doesn’t sell tickets. Perhaps with the combined forces of HBO and Berto he’ll prove me wrong this time…but I doubt it.

hookoffthejab

good match up on paper the ghost better not try that stupid stuff he did against that turkish fighter cuz berto will send him down down box the smart fight and Robert could very well walk away with a wide UD …….
