THESE ARE INTERESTING times indeed. Quiggy looked great in his win, which I was certain he’d stop him in 3 rounds.
What’s really interesting is that EDDIE HEARN is attempting to gate crash Carl Frampton’s bid for LEO SANTA CRUZ’S title.
Eddie said that they’re in talks with GBP re a unification match with Cruz and QUIGG. He said that Santa Cruz is not due his mandatory and why shouldn’t they get the fight and unify the belts?

Clearly HEARN is attempting to build not only a stable, but a dynasty of fighters under his promotion to rival the likes of GBP and Top Rank and the Sauerlands.

What better way to block your rival (Frampton and McGuigan) than by stealing their my thunder and the fight they’ve been chasing? I don’t know the fiscal elements of this, but I’m sure HEARN thinks he can offer more moolah than the fellas in Ireland.

What better incentive for Santa Cruz than another belt, especially as he wishes to rise to Featherweight in his very next bout.

HEARN is attempting to get an iron grip on the UK scene and ease out the Franks, Barrys, Rickys just like the banks did in the 90’s by buying IP all the talent and stealing the big fights from under the noses of the other promoters.

Might is not always right, but it seems to get the fights.

I will be watching with interest as I am a big fan of Leo Santa Cruz and wonder who he will meet next.

Mick the Marmalizer

With the exception of the #1 champ @122Lb (Guillermo Rigondeaux) Who no one wants to fight there’s some good match ups to be made.
Martinez fights in Japan next week & if he comes though would be the perfect next opponent for Quigg. Frampton looks to have secured a fight with WBC titlist Santa Cruz, which if he’s successful should lead to Martinez/Quigg.
I’ve heard motor mouth Kid Gallahad’s been sounding off again as well

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. LionKing)

I want to see Quigg vs. Frampton. Scotty needs to give Carlos “The Jackal” a shot at that WBA title.

can’t say i knew much about the african but quigg was a class apart. got to agree that if he fights another clever boxer he will struggle so would stay far away from rigo, santa cruz and frampton could be great fights over the next few years let’s hope they will all face each other to decide the next best.

Wow Quigg really smacked that African out. I hope they gave him some food afterwards, and some malaria medicine to take home.

Always liked Quigg a good fighter.I belive a few years back he went to the wild card gym in the States and worked with Freddie Roach, and Quigg payed for his own way there.Thats dedication and signs of a fighter who belives in himself.Quigg and Frampton two top guys in a very tough division…Good-Luck to both these lads!!!

Quigg is underrated. Heis still young and learning too.

Tonight and in his last fight Quigg was very impressive though. Congrats to scott. I rate him above Martinez and possibly santacruz. Its a fantastic division

The cuban Salinas showed that Quigg can’t deal with a smooth boxer. If Salinas had a bit of power Quigg would have lost. He tasted canvas in the fight anyway. Rigo would batter him at this point in their respective careers in my opinion. Wise move for Quigg and Frampton would b to wait until he gets too old to compete
