Enzo gave a good effort on the weekend and was unlucky with yhat eye injury. Dont get me wrong, he will never outbox braehmer in a million years but the german clearly didnt like enzos power. if a rematch happens i fancy enzo to finish him in the late rounds but only if he keeps his guard up

In contrast to those two world title winning fighters, you moonshineman are a nobody and NO ONE cares about you.

Posted April 8, 2014 11:48 am

Both are Class “C” fighters. Who cares…………..

Posted April 8, 2014 10:58 am

Weird thing is, if not for his eye Macca might have won this. He was evens with Braehmer with only one eye. He wont beat Kovalev or Stevens unless he gets in with a lucky punch, but the Lt Heavy division apart from those two and an old Hopkins is weak. Dawson, Pascal, Braehmer, Cloud and the rest are all beatable.

He’s had his day, time for him to hang em up.

He’ll get truly messed up if he carries on.

Posted April 8, 2014 12:21 am

Macaroni must not like his eyes.

I reckon “gents” that Enzo needs to retire and train fighters like Lockett started doing after he got busted up in a title fight.

Posted April 7, 2014 10:24 am

Time to retire Enzo, for the sake of your health and all those who love you. You’ve done your best, had a good boxing career, but now it’s time to move on to a new career. Be sensible, Let it go Enzo, it’s time.

Yeah felch has misread. I was aiming this at the comment from a person callijg himself euros cant box.

To be honest, I don’t think he had a bad ‘chin’ as such until he was busted to bits by Haye, I think it all went downhill from there. He was never granite jawed, but he seemed to really lose his punch resistance after Haye. As for the WBO reign, well he did have a couple of decent wins, and I could happily say he was a ‘contender’, but he was never a legitimate world champion.

I respect him for being a solid world level fighter at one point, but he was very very carefully managed to get that WBO title.

Quick Jab

Enzo’s dreaming, it was punches that busted him up not a freak accident or anything else.

Posted April 7, 2014 5:27 am

boxing barlow

This title was a fake belt. But some harsh comments in here about Enzo. He’s not had a bad career. The Braithwaite win was a pretty good one at the time. Braithwaite had a WBC reign and went on to be the only man so far to ko current universal champ Henandez. I dont think he’s a bad boxer he’s just got an awful chin.

Yes, I agree Vlad. A rematch is worth doing. Unless Braehmner fights one of the top dogs instead, which is highly unlikely.

lol at ‘obscure title belt’, he won the WBO title….that was obscure when Nigel Benn won it, not anymore lol.

Now if you’d said carefully managed title belt, with an organisation that Frank Warren has in his back pocket, I would have agreed.

No rematch for Enzo. I agree with the comments saying he was never true world champion material. The Haye fight exposed him as not being a champion, and also ruined the ‘contender’ in him in my opinion. Brave guy though, and respect for fighting on with that eye at the weekend.

Posted April 7, 2014 3:13 am

rematch , was good to watch would watch again.

Posted April 7, 2014 2:57 am

Feltching, you may want to read Amirs post again pal, you clearly misread

Posted April 7, 2014 2:28 am

FF – It may be useful for you to review the current ratings of the various sanctioning bodies and do some math on who holds belts. You may be surprised by the number of Americans holding titles.

Posted April 6, 2014 8:19 pm

Yet another fake “world” title bout with a meaningless outcome. Enzo was a one-time top 20-ish fighter who never won a world class fight (despite having won an obscure title belt). He has been thoroughly thrashed each time he’s met top competition and this time he lost every round against someone who poses zero threat to anyone wearing a “world” title belt. He should go home, reflect on his better-than-average career and be satisfied with it. Life’s too short to continue getting outclassed repeatedly.

Euros cant box. Who or when did you cranks last have a heavyweight champion?? None of your champions are true yanks they are all AFRICAN/americans unlucky.

He changing his name to enzo ‘big’ maccarinelli because his eye looked like a burger.

Posted April 6, 2014 7:09 pm

Don’t think Enzo has much left stating the obvious but he needs to call it a day with clev and bellow moving up UK needs the next light-heavy to come though maybe Callum Smith when he moves up remember the name

Posted April 6, 2014 6:23 pm

No need for a rematch as it was a convincing 1 sided win for braehmer Enzo never one a round (possible a share of the 3rd) and his face told the story

Posted April 6, 2014 6:09 pm

Euros can’t box

Well they can’t name one serious threat to an American champ

Posted April 6, 2014 5:51 pm

hell no

Posted April 6, 2014 4:50 pm

Maccarinelli was never a world champion fighter. And he is slipping and loseing the little he once had…retirement wouldnt be a bad move at this point.
