Bit early 4 manny 2 bring out a film on his life while he’s still boxing? Is he done? Or is it the money troubles (no pun). I’ll go with money troubles…another 3 fights time he ca bring out another. When did filming stop? Odd timing, 2 show him get KO’d by JMM, beat by Bradley. I hope the pinnacle of this movie wasn’t the Rios fight? Strange timing 4 this film…..I have all his good fights, no need 4 this film 4 me.Posted February 28, 2014 6:53 pm
Wow 40 posts on this Alvarez article ha ha ha…..where r all the guys who said Canelo was carrying Mayweather numbers wise in there fight? Check out Floyd v Madaina article?Posted February 28, 2014 6:49 pm
I hoping everyone gets to see the trailer for the epic documentary called “MANNY.” I watched earlier it today. This transcends all sports. Go to the Manny Pacquiao web sit and you can see for yourselves the excitement this movie is spreading throughout the world. This documentary is a must see for all boxing/sports fans in general. There is no other current or past fighter that can compare to this living legend’s life story. Some of the footage is unbelievable. You’ll see a young kid fighting grown men with much more experience, and stopping them with the power of thunder. You will clearly see that Manny was a born puncher with power. This will put to rest all of these desperate accusations of Manny using any type of Peds. The man has always been blessed with incredible power even as a young 15 year old. This is a powerful story of a blessed man that was chosen to do something special in life. A natural born fighter that crawled out of the gutter to become the greatest pure fighter of all time. The only 8 time division boxing champion in the history of boxing. There is no reason to dislike this man. No reason to accuse or insult this incredible human being. This documentary will simply make you appreciate your own life, and marvel at the obstacles and challenges Manny Pacquiao miraculously overcame. This is a triumphant story of a man that beat bigger odds than winning lottery. An incredible and unbelievable life of man that today is one of the world’s most influential people. A man that makes changes to help those that have no voices to be heard. A man chosen by God to make a change in this world. Manny is the best!Posted February 27, 2014 1:53 pm

@Hec Dog: “The top news of the day is about Manny Pacquiao. The long awaited Movie “MANNY” narrated by the great actor Liam Neeson is set to open in the Philippines on March 12th…. ONLY 8 division Boxing Champion in history…”
ROFL. People here in the ol’ island are already making fun of this movie. Pac’s stock has dropped considerably , the love for him has been steadily cooling down. Him being a congressman has been the butt of so many jokes. Fans, or ex-fans I should say, have also caught up to the ONLY * division Champ b.s. The fact that he was KTF cold and silly by Marquez didn’t help either.
Knowing that many fellow Flips have seen through the b.s. that is Manny Pacquiao, makes me happy. We, as a nation and people, are not hopeless afterall. And then there’s HecDog and Eman, they will continue l1(king Pac’s b@11s until the end of the world. Ain’t that sad? LOL.Posted February 27, 2014 10:44 am

Just a comment on something I noticed, Canelo is a welterweight and Chavez Jr is a middleweight and Canelo looks bigger than Chavez. As Canelo matures, maybe he’ll grow into a middleweight, I’d like to see those 2 fight one another sometime in the next 2-3 years. It would be an all out war … PEACE …The boxingdictionary.com … “The Language of the Ring”Posted February 26, 2014 10:33 pm

The top news of the day is about Manny Pacquiao. The long awaited Movie “MANNY” narrated by the great actor Liam Neeson is set to open in the Philippines on March 12th. I suggest everyone that comments on the ESB site view this inspirational documentary about the ONLY 8 division Boxing Champion in history. I truly believe this will be nominated for Documentary of the year. Manny Pacquiao is a living legend that astounded the sports world when he came on the scene. Today, he is widely considered the greatest fighter of all time. This highly anticipated documentary should be sensational and will open the eyes of those that have never taken the time to learn about this prize fighting warrior. Congratulations to Manny Pacquiao for adding another successful step in his already impressive life and career.Posted February 26, 2014 4:38 pm

Remember, Canelo, don’t mess up that face; Hollywood awaits you.Posted February 26, 2014 1:00 pm
I hope it is. I actually wish all PPV events sell well. I am just a boxing fan. Yeah yeah people are always talking boycott this or that but that isn’t me. From what I have come to is that any fight in Vegas is expensive unless it is like a Friday Night Fight or something. I went to the first Pac vs Barrera fight at the Alamo Dome. I think I paid maybe $300 for 2 tickets. For me and my pops and we where 11 rows up. I tried to find myself on HBO but it got dark like 6 or so rows up so I didn’t see me. lol. But I had a blast at the fight, I love live boxing.Posted February 26, 2014 12:19 pm
“I was there for the Vargas vs Oscar fight ”
I am going to try to drive up to Las Vegas for the weigh-in at least, then drive back home the same night. I just got off the MGM Grand website and all of the really good seats have been taken. There are a few left on the floor level but I don’t want to fork out $1300.00 for my wife and I to sit, and that’s the only place I want to sit. Seats are $632 each including tax.
BTW, seats for the Pac/Bradley II fight on April 12 are selling out quick. All the prime seats are gone even though they cost well over $1,000 each. It will be a sold-out live event and a great PPV event as well.Posted February 26, 2014 11:56 am
I am a manager at my job so that is why I get that. If not i would be paying right there what you are paying. I get 50% off my cell phone also. So in all I pay about 150 for cable, internet and cell service. I am not hating on the fight, I just don’t think the main event is PPV worthy especially after both coming off the loss but I love the fight. And the card as a whole is nice. My gripe with cable companies is I hate how they offer new customers those discounts but yet loyal customers don’t get those same discounts. And like I said before I am watching the fight. I wish I could catch a fight in Vegas I was there for the Vargas vs Oscar fight and the weigh in was awesome. That is what I got to see live, as for the fight I saw it in a room at the MGM or Luxor or something. Can’t remember. It was $50 for the ticket I believe. But it was still funPosted February 26, 2014 11:33 am
BTW Peej, I bought this PPV a couple of weeks ago and I don’t regret it. Thing is, I can easily drive to Las Vegas and stay in a hotel that’s not on the strip. Don’t know why I didn’t plan it that way to begin with. This will be an excellent night of boxing to watch live.Posted February 26, 2014 11:05 am
Canelo is fighting that is news to me. I thought he had retired from boxing after Mayweather woop that cinnamon butt.Posted February 26, 2014 11:05 am
“I get 50% off my cable bill anyways.”
Anyways, back to boxing.Posted February 26, 2014 11:03 am
The top news of the day has nothing to do with Manny. Nobody even knows about this movie.Posted February 26, 2014 10:11 am
The card may be PPV worthy, which apparently is now Golden Boys MO which is awesome. But the main even is not PPV worthy. This is HBO or Showtime worthy. But like I said before if I don’t have a friend getting the fight which I know I will, then I will get the fight. I get 50% off my cable bill anyways.Posted February 26, 2014 10:10 am
“I will pay anyone $500 if can get me backstage to Canelo’s dressingroom so I can hide in his closet and watch him undress.”
No need to. Just go to the weigh-in, you’ll get to see him do it in front of all the world.Posted February 26, 2014 10:06 am
“Not a worthy ppv”
Are you kidding? Alvarez/Angulo, Santa Cruz/Mijares, Figueroa/Alvarez, and Molinas/Charlo? With four major titles on the line? This is a killer PPV event!Posted February 26, 2014 10:03 am
