Wider and price big bangers early, but what about later if they don,t go away.

The real test will come when Price faces an opponent who can stay with him for more than 3 rounds and throw some serious punches back. Then we will know if David has a future.

Great. He should be ready for Thompson again.

‘’I knew I had an opponent in front of me who was nowhere near my level but I still had to get in there, stay focused and do a professional job. I am happy to get the win and now we can crack on.

What a demented looser.

The title of this article shouldn’t be Price is back with a bang, it should be Price beat up a bum to get a win. Nothing more, nothing less. He’s still the same David Price. I’m sure he’ll recieve about 3 more cupcakes and then he’ll get a live opponent and lose again.

Thompson rematch?

Poor Price, with that chin he is going nowhere, just fooling himself…… I heard he cant even hold a shot in sparring……. Pity he has great power……..

PRICE SIMPLY IS NOT THAT GOOD! HE IS CANNON FODDER FOR THE SO CALLED TOP HEAVY WEIGHTS! HE SHOULD FIGHT BUMS IN BRITIAN AND AVOID EVERYONE ELSE. HELL HE CAN STILL MAKE A GOOD LIVING FIGHTING THERE!

Price dosent impress me at all.

Back with a bang against an guy with an 12-10-1, 8 KO record? I wouldn’t call this a bang. David’s a low level club fighter with no punch resistance and little proper skill. He’s a big guy who relies more on his size than skill or power to get the job done. If he ever steps up to even C level competition again he’s going to get dropped.

David Price can’t be “back” because he was never “here” to begin with.

If Price gets KOd by one Tony Thompson shot, I really don’t think that can be fixed. He can knock out guys like this and improve his defense, but he is just way way too chiny.

Also Brooks who is training Price now…is very overrated.Knew 2 kids very solid fighters who trained under Brooks for alittle while both agreed he lacked dedication to his fighters. So having Brooks as a trainer may be another bad move for team Price…and this guy dosent have room for anymore bad moves…

Ofcourse Price will face 1 maybe 2 more guys on this level. When he steps-up it will be clear if he is really the guy people thought he was.Price seems to be a very nervous type of guy…jitters or stage fright before and during his fights, this could be his downfall.Price does have some good skills and great power but nerves of steel he dosent have.Price was also brought up horrible..no rounds, didnt fight enough, bad mangement all around. Now its time to see can things be worked out or is it a lost cause…..

pointless fight, the guy was a punchbag, proves nothing,I wouldnt gain confidences KOing a punchbag.

Price would only knock out tomato cans, he’s no good,i mean seriosly : can anyone comenting here say that they can see Price a heavyweight champion? He just doesn’t have the tools to be a fighter forget about it!

Of course, this doesn’t prove anything, but it is good to see Price back in the ring. I’d still like to see Price vs. Fury. Not the attraction it was when both were unbeaten, but, still, a fight where anything can happen and a lot of action while it lasts.

Great win! Knocked out a 12-10-1 major threat. Good grief …

He can’t stay in the canned produce aisle forever. Seth Mitchell hits hard and falls dramatically. Somewhat dangerous but very doable.

should fight richard towers next

I’d give Price a little more time before counting him out. He was poorly managed and had no business going up against Thompson with so little experience. Price and Wilder are two of the biggest bangers in the heavyweight division. A Price-Wilder bout later this year would really be interesting.

that fulla tark is a real negative f!!ker!! his comments are real annoying!! hes always got something to say about every little thing a boxer does wrong! you know f!!k all clown. price has aways been capable. he just had abit of a down patch, and needs to get his confidence back.

Posted January 26, 2014 10:47 pm

TARK

Price can hit… That’s no secret… The trick is to hit somebody who can box. This opponent was not that guy.

“Im a Price fan, but I feel he didnt look good last night. Looked nervous and jittery. Hopefully he will improve.” – Didn’t see it but not surprised if he looked nervous. After all he got KOed last time. That’s why they’re going to throw him a few punching bags.

Me gav

This was David’s 3rd opponent and a late substitute at that so was never going to be any real threat. This fight did very little for price except giving him a little confidence and some momentom, competition will have to improve in his next fight

i bet david could knock me out too

Great! Some more KO’s against nameless punchbags and many will see him as a contender once again.

Posted January 26, 2014 1:42 pm

We all know David Price can quickly KO this level of opponent. Like Fury’s upcoming fight, it means little.Price is going to have to show big improvement in his all-round game as he meets better guys or he’ll always be a no-hoper.

Posted January 26, 2014 1:36 pm

No he is not and nobody really cares.
