te tumbo

checking Provodnikov’s chin and jaw in the early rounds is definitely a part of Alvarado’s overall fight-plan. it’s his natural instinct to react to openings and let his fists go. he’s a fighter whose got faith in his punching power. aside from Rios, it’s doesn’t let him down. IF Ruslan passes that test and i’m skeptical, Alvarado will shift to his version of boxing, which still includes a lot of give-and-take exchanges. at that point, it becomes an even fight because i thing that they’re equal in the grit and stamina department. cuts may become a prominent factor. especially for Alvarado but i’m expecting that Ruslan won’t be able to weather the early storm and Alvarado will be able to take him out by TKO in the 8th round.

Eleanore the Hag: If I wanted you to open you mouth, I’d simply jiggle my zipper. So shut your gaping hole because you’re stinking up the place.

I like this Russian kid! He looks just like Kid Diamond who knocked out Vivian Harris

Posted August 9, 2013 7:48 pm

Hidaldo the FACT is that Bradley finished the Fight and WON. SO another ref making a SISSYFIED stoppage would have made an ERROR. Ruslan knocked Bradley out SO bad that he out Boxed him for the majority of the bout and WON. GOOD call by Russell.

Eleanore the Hag

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street) , you are arguably the biggest a-hole on ESB and that means you are one very BIG A-HOLE.

I’m getting a little sick of you singling me out for no reason whatsoever and calling me a jerk and/or saying that I should be banned. Unless you’re one of the serial multi-posting cowards like “nameless” a.k.a. “anonymous,” I’ve never once said anything to you, directly.

Please let up on my me ASAP, or I’m going to start firing back at you out of self defense. Thank you.

“…look who showed up, the king of the hill, Squared Circle!!”

Well, thank you for the compliment! I knew I was way up there with the top dogs, but didn’t realize that I’m considered “the king of the hill.”

It’s real simple: If you’re cool to me and show me respect, I’ll be cool to you and show you respect. If you go out of your way to insult and attack me, I’m more then capable of being the biggest a-hole you’ve ever come across.

It’s really up to you and it’s all your choice. I’m just like a mirror, so am a reactive reflection of my environment and those around me.

“Provodnikov couldn’t DO that.” Let’s be honest with each other, Correctamundo. Another ref may have seen things differently. Bradley was really hurt. He was getting beat up. He took a lot of punishment. He was clearly more than just dazed or stunned on a least three occasions in the fight. Another ref may have stopped the fight because he would be concerned that Bradley was taking so much punishment. What Matthysse did to Peterson was nowhere near what Provodnikov did to Bradley. After Peterson got up from the knockdown, Smoger allowed Lucas to hit him two more times then he stopped the fight. Provodnikov wailed on Bradley but Russell never stopped the fight. Of the two fights it’s clear who took the bigger beating and was hurt more.

square circle a jerk

ruslan is awesome

Posted August 9, 2013 5:19 am

Smoger stopped the Peterson Fight SO that he wouldn’t get murdered. Russell CORRECTLY didn’t stop the Bradley Fight as Bradley made it to the Final bell. IF the ref didn’t stop the Peterson Fight Matthysse would have stopped it FOR him. Provodnikov couldn’t DO that.

Posted August 9, 2013 2:39 am

LOL @ nameless and anonymous. Two fools who can’t even give themselves a real nick. Two fools who don’t ever discuss boxing, just insult everyone else. Two fools who whine, whine, whine. It’s good that you both remain non-entities. Your nicks fit you. There’s nothing really there.

Posted August 9, 2013 2:07 am

“Go take a FINISHING class.” Ref Russell could have and maybe should have stopped the fight. Provodnikov had Timothy deep in la-la land three times. Prov was finishing him. But Russell wouldn’t let that happen. I mean, look how quickly Smoger stopped the Matthysse/Peterson fight. Peterson took nowhere near the beating Bradley did and Peterson was never out on his feet. Bradley was wobbling and tumbling all over the ring. He was still dazed and hurt after the fight and had a hard time talking even after he made it back to his locker room. Then they took him to the hospital.

Geezuz, Correctamundo, you talk a lot of smack for a non-boxer.

Nameless, it’s gonna be tough to determine who’s the biggest a*shole among those 3. They might be tied, really.

Posted August 9, 2013 12:07 am

Talk about as$holes, look who showed up, the king of the hill, Squared Circle!! Now, that’s an as$hole!

Posted August 9, 2013 12:02 am

Well IF Bradley got no standing 8 count and he was TRULY hurt them thats an advantage to the guy who hurt him. IF he was out on his feet then SHAME on you for not knocking him out…How DO you let a guy last 12 rounds IF you had him out on his feet?? Go take a FINISHING class.

Posted August 9, 2013 12:02 am

You can tell Hidalgo was one of those kids that never shut up and had an opinion about everything but his parents never smack him in the mouth. The poor bastard can’t help himself.

Hidalgo and it’s me ernie…….made for each other.

Posted August 8, 2013 11:51 pm

Ruslan canned Bradley in the first round and that damn ref didn’t even do a standing eight count. Pathetic. When Bradley was talking in interviews after the fight his lips were quivering. He was f’d up.

Posted August 8, 2013 11:44 pm

It’s amazing. Bradley doesn’t even have to wait for Christmas to get gifts.

Posted August 8, 2013 11:38 pm

Meanwhile, Timmy is recuperating from the concussion Provodnikov gave him. What was it Bradley said in his interview with Max Kellerman after the fight? “I know I got a concussion. This guy is a power puncher. He’ll beat any 140 or 147 pounder out there, I’m telling you.”

“Ruslan wasn’t ripped off. Bradley smartened UP in enough time to secure the WIN. He stopped slugging and started Boxing and Provodnikov had no answers for that.” Whatever. Provodnikov still beat the crap out of him.

there should have been a rematch for Ruslan. the powers that be said otherwise, even though Ruslan earned it.

Posted August 8, 2013 10:24 pm

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)

Ruslan most certainly was ripped off vs. Bradley because the idiotic ref didn’t give him credit for the first knock down. If you give Provo credit for that and score the remaining rounds accurately, it should’ve been scored a DRAW.

There should’ve been an immediate rubber-match or rematch, but Bradley is being protected because he’s an American. Bradley also lost to PacMan in the one of the biggest robberies in boxing history. So it’s clear that TB is being protected, but he should already have one Loss and one Draw on his record.

If Bradley is such a great, undefeated WW, Why doesn’t FMJ want to fight him in order to take his 147lbs title/strap??? Why don’t they ever talk about fighting each other???

Posted August 8, 2013 10:22 pm

I’ve followed Prov’s career for quite a while now and feel his war against Bradley was his finest performance. He seems to have always been an action fighter with okay skills, but stepped it big time when he got ripped off against Tim. The match up with Mike has fight of the year written all over it…

Posted August 8, 2013 8:58 pm

I admire Mike for taking this fight… But he’s in for it now. Provodnikov is brutal.
