Fight scribe – I don’t score punches to the arms and shoulders and that’s where Daniel landed most of his punches. I hardly remember Daniel landing clean shots at all. When I’m scoring a fight I look for clean and effective punches and not pitter patter stuff in close Daniel was throwing. Caparello made it a much closer fight by laying on the ropes more than he should have but fact remains Caparello won the fight clearly in my book and the judges as well.

Slider – McKinnon stayed with this guy for the duration and hustled and stayed competitive throughout. I think your judging of the fight very, very generous in favour of Caparello. Daniel is an adequate fighter but the man is not world class and Caparello had to work very hard against a tough but average at best fighter.

I watched the Caparello v McKinnon fight and I thought Caparello won clearly 118-110 or 117-111

McKinnon did a lot of roughing up in close but wasn’t landing scoring blows

Caparello fights to his opponents pace so he’s ready for the step up

Good luck to Caparello.

This article isn’t objective. Caparello was a long way from being dominant in this fight. It was a good match up and McKinnon was very, very competitive and therein lies the problem…McKinnon isn’t world class…plenty tough but not plenty world class and Caparello has no business fighting world class opposition yet.

This guy could take Cleverly right now. It’s a pity he won’t get a chance after Kovalev destroys the WBO paper champ.
