It’s Me, Ernie

Nice way to resurrect a career…

He beat Sam Peter very easily, but he was fat. He was fat for Povetkin too.

Eddie’s signature fight was Dimitrenko… He was nice and slim at 210. He showed what a small man can do to a huge giant who can’t box, has no stance, and can’t defend worth a damn.

David Price looks like Dimitrenko II to me. He needs skills badly. I hope Lennox Lewis can teach as well as he fought … but I doubt it.

Great fighters always look for instant results and that’s impossible.

Well I don’t think it’ll have an affect on him like it did with Chris Byrd. Byrd lost too many pounds. I think Cahmbers is coming to party at this weight. I’d love to see him fight haye as well as Jones, even tho Jones may lose his belt to drug tests.

flash knock down

I am a huge ,huge fan of Eddie Chambers and I would love to see him win a title but like he said these guys don’t want to see him in the ring. The fight where he hurt his arm in the first round against Adamek was the bravest and most masterful thing I have ever seen in a boxing ring . Remember he hut his arm in the first round and was unable to use his left at all un like Andre Berto who hurt his right arm but was able to use it some. Let me say this Eddie is going to find out that just by moving down in weight does not mean that he will be able to beat those guys . I have seen it too many time guys thinking that if they move down they will have a easier time wrong, they get knocked out. So my advice to Eddie is to be ready when he steps into the ring with these guys. I am still mad about the way the judges robbed him in the Adamek . That fight should be in every gym in the world so guys can see what a pro fighter looks like when he is faced with a serious problem in the ring you just don’t quit. I don’t know of any other fighter that could have done what Eddie did that night. I am looking forward to seeing him in the ring again and wish him all the best.

Good point, what the hell happened against Povetkin, somebody can explain ?

Eddie seems like a great guy and has superb skills, hope he does reign as 200lbs. That loss to Povetkin still bothers me though, he looked like he could’ve coasted to victory if he felt like it.

……, “I’m working with one of the masterful boxes in the history of the sport, in Eddie Chambers”

He has that right… Now Eddie has to DO something with his gifts.

It’s funny. But in the last 15 years some of the best fights I’ve seen have been a light heavy and cruiser. Bell/Mormeck I, Toney/Jirov, etc.

EDDIE is one of the good guys. I always wondered how he would fare in the 1960s early 70s when he would have been a great sized heavyweight

I also like Eddie and hope he has great success at cruiser. I always enjoy watching him.

FEARS

Always good to hear from Fast Eddie! He’s traveled a hard road, spending too much time at HW being undersized, and under-appreciated for his vast skill level, then robbed in the Adamek fight in which he outboxed Adamek with one arm.
