I don’t care about this fight! Why is everyone ducking Troy Ross!

I would also love some unification fights but somehow I don’t see it happening. Arslan is with Sauerland as well now so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a third fight after this since this one could be very close. This means more money for Sauerland. They also won’t let their other champion Hernandez face Huck, obviously. Let’s hope Wlodarczyk and Guillermo Jones will make an unification bout happen.

Stefano – Probebly true. Like I said, just fight each other and we will see who will go out on top and even if I would look at Marco Hucks corner, I’m not sure he is the one who will do that so the landscape is open as far as I can see and may the best champ win.

I think you must be kidding that Huck stands out as the best champion? The guy’s heart and chin are to be admired and he’s well promoted but skill wise he’s very poor. He has either lost his battles against quality opposition or gotten a controversial win. I think Wlodarczyk would put him to sleep, not that that fight would ever materialise since Sauerland will be protecting him at all costs.

I agree. Why doesen’t the cruiserweight world title holders fight each other? Marco Huck, WBO world cruiserweight champion with 11 defences (10-0-1) and Fightnews 1# cruiserweight fighter. 2-time cruiserweight world champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk, WBC title champion with 5 defences. And then we have Yoan Pablo Hernandez, IBF title champion and Ring/Lineal champion as well. with Guermo Jones, WBA title champion. There are 4 world champions from 4 diffrent countrys so there are lots of reasons to make them fight each other in a world title unification tournament. Then of course we have good contenders like Eddie Chambers, Denis Lebedev, Firat Arslan, Ola Afolabi etc BUT the cruiserweight division needs a recognised champion to represent the division better as I feel the division is kind of uninteresting now with 4 champions and only Marco Huck stands out as the more better one but still the division lacks identity. I hear few people name any cruiserweight fighter so what do they got to lose but win?

I watched the fight as well live, and while Arslan was pressing the action and was ahead by the 5th or 6th round, Huck took over and landed the cleaner and the harder shots while Arslan was just moving forward without punching and landing.

Huck didn’t land many clean shots, that my point. From what I saw Arslan was roughing Huck up constantly, Huck takes a lot of punishment in every fight and it’s not hard to get through his defense. I watched the fight live on German tv and after the fight there was only one replay being repeated over and over again. Because it was the only good thing Huck did in the whole fight.

it wasnt a total robbery. it was a close fight that Huck won. You dont win fights by just moving forward, which is what Arslan did for the most part, but he did not score all that often. I am not a Huck fan at all, but I think he won that one, by landing the cleaner shots.

The first fight was a total robbery. Huck was doing what he does best, hitting his opponent’s gloves and was getting tagged himself constantly. Unless Firat puts him down he will lose again.
