Wilder doesnt seem to want to fight anyone with a good resume. Got to wonder why after nearly 30 fights? Least Fury, Jennings, Price, Mitchell and so forth have stepped it up. You only learn by taking risky fights, and you only learn if you can learn when something goes wrong. Fury’s shown he can, jurys still out on Price and Mitchell…with Wilder, we dont even know if he can live with a C Class fighter yet. The guy hasnt even got in with anyone as live as Maddalone and Sprott yet some fans are delusionally saying hes the new Holmes or he will smash Chisora or Fury or Wlad yah de yah!

Does anyone else find the “Bronze Bomber” moniker a bit unusual? It’s like calling yourself Deontay “defeated semi-finalist” Wilder but actually taking pride in doing so.

Squared-Circle (a.k.a. LionKing)

I”ll start paying attention to Wilder when he beats a contender. Until then, he can continue knocking out tin cans and punching bags until the cows come home. Carry on…

Wilder is really just a bum at this point, wish this guy would fight somebody to clear up what all the fans dont know. Is wilder ligit? The jurys still out, im mean this guy has almost 30 pro fights and hasent fought anyone of note. Its the same old storie we have been discusing for a while now. Wilder if you fight another guy your promoter pull out of a dumpster in the ally behind walmart and cleans him up and puts him in the ring with again, it only makes you look bad. Come on man step it up.

time for wilder to make a move…..there’s a lot of fringe contenders out there that can get him seasoning and exposure…..sometimes you just have to take risks if you want to make it big……

Whew! I’m glad Warren cleared that up! I was really losing sleep over this non-event.

Time will tell on Deontay. I believe he is still improving, and with Klitschko brothers very old, he look like best prospect in world. Fury is ducking him for very good reason.

just another Jeff Lacy waiting to get exposed lol

Give your head a shake mike. Best fighter since Larry Holmes? Are you f$&king kidding me? He is boarder line amateur with his punches. He wouldn’t have come close to Holyfield, Tyson, bowe, Lewis, f$&k ray Mercer would have wiped him out in less than 8 rounds. Than you call ppl misinformed? Makin yourself look like you started watching boxing a few months ago. You are obviously misinformed or you are wilder trying to make yourself look good. Another B level fighter in a dead division that makes B level fighters look like future hall of famers. Moron

First of all for the uninformed, Deontay wilder was the best amateur heavyweight in USA. He is definitely the hardest punching heavyweight and this includes Klitschko brothers. He will be universally recognized as heavyweight champion by end of 2014 (perhaps earlier). I see him knocking out Fury, Adamek, Stiverne, and eventually both Klitschko brothers. He will be the best heavyweight since Larry Holmes.

Yep, Wilder suddenly realized that he had a live body in front of him and chickened out.

The bandy legged rooster wilder will collapse when hit by a good heavyweight.

Boxing is a very tough business.. Every promising fighter knows if he keeps winning he’ll eventually get a title shot.. Some guys like Chisora don’t care if they lose a fight because they’ve already lost a few.. So they’re in demand because they’re known fighters who are willing to fight anyone for the right money.. But what happens to Seth Mitchell if he gets knocked out by Banks again?? All that investment and years of effort by everyone involved with him starts to slide down the toilet.. Therefore, these rising undefeated fighters generally choose their opponents very carefully, and they sometimes end up like Malik Scott, a 35-year-old undefeated heavyweight who’s fought for many years … and never really fought anyone who could make him any money.

Chisora should forget wilder and face the winner of lucas browne vs richard towers or take on mago or perez.

Heavyweight boxing is in a mess. When will guys like Mago, Browne, Perez, Boytsov, Helenius, Fury, Stiverne, Jennings, Mansour, actually face each other. Their will be red tape and they will continue to face guys with more losses than wins. This was basically wilders debut fight.

If Wilder doesn’t destory his own career like Ike did… He will soon meet a Chisora caliber fighter and smoke him. Then he’ll be on his way. Control is the main issue. When Audley Harrison fell to the floor Wilder was still loading and winging ..Can’t do that.. Not anymore than if you think some girl is stealing your wallet, your iphone, your ipad, and your watch, after blowing you and thinking you’re asleep, that you start repeating your Audley Harrison drill on her.. It probably won’t work out that well if you do something like that again … Ike had 2 chances.

Don’t be a walking time bomb.

Very disappointing. Just seems like they are never putting Wilder in with a decent fighter. He will fight bums till his title shot and then that will be it of him.

Posted May 22, 2013 6:07 pm

Wilder is having enough problems getting a mid level contender into the ring with him.. Deontay blew the Chisora fight with his actions outside the ring.. I know you’re pissed off as Hell.. But control your mouth — and control your temper.. Don’t be like Mike or Ike … One fit of temper… One stupid legal team move, could spell the end of your career.. There are many A-hole prosecutors who would love to pin your hide to their wall … They’ll set you up if they get crazy enough.

… “District Attorney Gerald Numbnuts filed charges against Heavyweight Contender Deontay Wilder today.. Numbnuts called a press conference and we’ll go to that live right now…”

I don’t even know what the fk he is talking about. Maybe a “statement “was not needed and just move on. Wilder doesn’t control himself like a FMJ so he was prolly pissed out of pure lack of info. Hope they can reschedule because I want to see them fight.
