Neil(pomie) Agreed, guy a tosser m8. Talks the talk but cant produce a performance. He’d never beat Cleverly

Neil what he needs is a hard beating lol.

After watching Bellew during and after the fight it is clear that he has zero class and secondly lacks the skills or power to be a legit contender to the top 5….. Hearing him after the fight made me want to vomit even more than when he paraded the WBC belt around like he was the champion what a fake….. Bellew the Balloon……..

Good fighter, but very little class as a person. Just a bad tempered bully.

Posted April 1, 2013 10:24 am

Just when I think I am warming to him; he completely loses his cool, acts like a spoilt-child and a complete nutcase.

Posted April 1, 2013 10:23 am

Sometimes I hear Bellew talk and he seems a like a nice, well balanced and knowledgable person …… then you see how he acted in that fight (ie. losing his temper, throwing his head into his opponents face, arguing with the ref and being hysterically-angry after the fight …. and I cant help but think the guy is a complete arse-hole and a raving loony … and someone you’d never want to meet in any sort of social situation. Its was the same prior to the Cleverly fight where he acts like a complete nut-case in the pre-fight-press-conferance. That guys temper will one day get him into serious trouble. I wont be cheering him on from now on. The needs to mature big-time.

BELLEW is like Khan. So arrogant that when things go wrong it CANT be his own fault…So he blames his corner. This was a very close, boring fight. Bellew does not have the skill set to go up to the next level. Jim Watt was a great fighter but i turn the sound down when he’s commentating.

What was Crolla – Matthews like???

Posted March 31, 2013 5:17 pm

red devil

Last night Bellew was exposed by a slickster. Bellew looked limited and could not adjust to Chilemba’s skill set.

Posted March 31, 2013 3:23 pm

I’ve said for a few years now that Bellew shows everything he’s going to do. Thats not a faint . thats an idiosincrasity(that wont be spelt roght) lol. He tightens his fist before he throws anything. Watch him n see

Posted March 31, 2013 1:08 pm

DID Any one else notice bellews horrendous cringewortyhy repetitive jab feint then jab it was awful to watch and he is beyond basic for thi level get a euro title and defend it a few times before daring to challenge for world honours

To be fair the rematch should be on nuetral ground.

McGirt one of the most respected men in boxing?? He’s a con artist and couldn’t teach a dog to piss on a fire hydrant

Posted March 31, 2013 11:06 am

Chilemba is clearly the more talented boxer and doubtless has the brighter future, especially given his youth. I’ll be very surprised if Chilemba doesn’t win the rematch. However, last night Chilemba barely threw a meaningful punch for the first 6 rounds and, wild and wasteful as he was, Bellew took those rounds as a result and did enough to win.

Bellew was as poor a loser as what he was a boxer this is a true and unbiased review he was just out boxed and did not deserve a draw.

Posted March 31, 2013 7:18 am

Im a big bellew fan, love his all action style and how he wants to go to war, but he got outboxed chilemba proved himself as a class
fighter/boxer and totally agree with this article and won at least 9 of the 12 rounds

I’m a big fan of Bellew but if you show the best ten punches in the fight 8 of them must of been from Chilemba, I thought he nicked it by a round. Bellew threw the fight away, I didn’t pay attention to the sky sports commentary, I thought Chilemba did well in round 4 and from 7 – 12 he won then on coming forward more and landing the occasional flashy punch.

Bellew,no class in or out of the ring.should have had a point took at the end of the 1st got a home town decision here.

Posted March 31, 2013 5:12 am

Bellew came across as the hot headed idiot he is,he thinks that staring at some one like he’s in a ale house brawl will intadate at this leval,he’s a European leval (at best)fighter he should stop listening the guys at sky telling him he’s a smart boxer with good skills when he wants to be.He’s not,he’s a brawler, anyone who has a dig would have smashed Tony to bits last night no defence,no speed,no chance at world leval.

The Gym

Typical British home town decision. Sickening. No wonder Froch was exposed each time he fought outside of Britannia. The world knows he lost to Direll

Posted March 31, 2013 4:30 am

Both were crap, neither deserved a win.

this draw is good news for bellew in my opinion. theres no way he should be put in with dawson i doubt he would win a round. the fact that sky described the 116-112 as ridiculous was a joke they need to call fights down the middle. jim watt gave bellew a couple of the later rounds based on 2-3 punches when he spent the rest of the round eating jabs and looking a bit silly. Chilemba won the last 6 rounds in my opinion. i cant see bellew ever winning a world title unfortunately

Posted March 30, 2013 10:55 pm

Bellew is a world class chav

Posted March 30, 2013 10:48 pm

Draw was about right but Chilemba can walked away with his head held high, bellew was below par and came accross very obnoxious

Posted March 30, 2013 10:33 pm

I think Bellew was lucky to have a draw.I did not think that he conducted himself properly in the ring either. What is this all about pushing Chilemba after the first stanza/round of the fight? That was like an act of a playground bully rather than a sportman.AYYYYAYYYAYY…

Cleverly and Bellew will never beat any of the top five in the division…

Posted March 30, 2013 9:23 pm

hopkins would beat bellew and cleverly at the same time, with one hand tied behind his back. bellew is to straight foward, similar to tavoris cloud, but with no punch power. sad to say but i don’t think the UK will have a world champ at LHW. cleverly is not a world champ he is WBO champ and he was given that.

Posted March 30, 2013 9:11 pm

The Low Blow !

nothing to get excited about here !

Posted March 30, 2013 9:01 pm

Draw was the right result. I do think Bellew should have had a point taken away for hitting the back of Chilemba’s head

Posted March 30, 2013 8:59 pm

tony was lucky. reasons i say this -1 the crowd was very quiet all night, nothing to cheer about,-2 chilemba didnt have a mark on him. 3- tony was in his backyard, lucky for him. 4-neither man ever connected.-5 what few shots got thru chilemba landed the most.

Posted March 30, 2013 8:57 pm

Agree with the Jim Watt comment. Biased commentary, biased crowd.

I back Chilemba to outbox Bellew for the entire 12 next time.

Posted March 30, 2013 8:54 pm

Btw, generous to Bellew……

Posted March 30, 2013 8:48 pm

Bellew was non-existent from round 5-6. Looked so bad. I had Chilemba by at least 2, and as opposed to Mr. Watt, I am being generous, never mind your 4th round shenanigans!

Posted March 30, 2013 8:47 pm

Six each no broblem with the result, jim watt and his mate need to be a bit less tunnel visiond in there comentery,Bellew isn’t a smart boxer hes just a brawler and didn’t do anywhere near enough to win,he’s just showed how limited he is

Posted March 30, 2013 8:44 pm

Bellew can’t pull the trigger – only has himself to blame…

Posted March 30, 2013 8:32 pm

When bellew steps up to top world leval he’ll get so wound up and wild he won’t go six rounds
