What lies next for Amir Khan

Kazim Sharif – So after one of the most shocking defeats of the year, where we saw the Pacman lose his WBO welterweight belt to Tim Bradley, many predicted including myself that Amir Khan would call Tim Bradley out for a third time.

My predictions were right because Khan tweeted that he would fight Bradley as soon as he moved up a weight.. Now as we are all aware Khan has a massive assignment waiting in the form of unbeaten Mexican Garcia. Do we see the fight happening if Khan was to come out of the Garcia fight with a victory to his name? In my personal opinion this is make or break for Khan, in order to fight Money he needs to establish himself again as a genuine contender.

We all saw that Bradley can be neutralised with speed, he was exposed by the Pacman on many occasions. At times he struggled to establish consistency and deal with the angles the Pacman was utilising. He also lacked the footwork to out manoeuvre Manny all the way until he finally stuck to his double jab and straight right. I feel Khan with the superior reach advantage and speed can outpoint Bradley if they were to ever get it on. Not that it will be easy as Bradley, after taking a beating was still game at the end of the fight. As stablemate Manny found out, his loss to Bradley albeit the controversy, means a mega fight with Money is out of the question for now, Khan can’t make the same mistake, by losing a big fight with Garcia he can say goodbye to Bradley and possibly any genuine welterweight.

One thing for sure is Bradley and Khan can be a massive fight for both of them and possibly propel them into contention with a fight with Mayweather.
