Haye 4/1 to beat Vitali; £10,000 bet for Bellew to beat Cleverly; Bets that Haye will come back

DESPITE reports suggesting he is about to retire, David Haye is now also reportedly considering a fight with Vitali Klitschko next year – but William Hill make him 4/1 outsider to win that fight should it happen before the end of 2012, with Klitschko red hot favourite at 1/7 and the draw a 33/1 shot.

‘It will be tempting for David Haye to go out with another big money fight against a Klitschko, but the formbook suggests he would come out second best again and he may be reluctant to risk what is left of his reputation – and good looks!’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

IS £10,000 PUNTER BOXING CLEVERLY?

ALTHOUGH NATHAN Cleverly is 2/7 favourite to win his showdown against Tony Bellew this weekend, William Hill say the underdog has attracted far more betting interest. One London-based fan has staked £10,000 on Bellew at 3/1; two from Liverpool have bet £2000 and £1500 on him, another put £1000 on him to win on points at 7/1.

‘Bellew’s fans won’t hear of defeat, and we currently have a lop-sided book which could cost us a six figure sum as it stands if Tony overturns the formbook’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

William Hill…..2/7 Nathan Cleverly v 5/2 Toney Bellew; 33/1 draw.

PRIZEFIGHTER BACKING FOR FARRAG

RUAN FARRAG is the punters’ choice for the latest Prizefighter tournament, and William Hill quote him at 11/2 third favourite to come out on top. Farrag opened at 13/2 at which price Hills took a string of three figure bets of up to £300 a time.

Hills make Lee Haskins 5/2 fav and also offer 10/3 Craig Lyon; 6/1 Don Broadhead; 13/2 Mike Robinson; 10/1 Nathan Reeve; 12/1 Terry Broadhurst; 33/1 Usman Ahmed.

‘The beauty of Prizefighter is that its format does not always suit boxers more used to pacing themselves over longer fights and as a result shock outcomes are far from unheard of’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

HAYE, DAVID, BET YOU’LL COME BACK

WITH DAVID HAYE reportedly not renewing his boxing licence, William Hill are offering odds of 7/4 that if he confirms his retirement, he will nonetheless return to the ring for another fight on or before his 33rd birthday on October 13, 2013 – and quote 2/5 that he does not do so.

‘I’m sure David means to quit as of now, but should another Brit get his hands on a version of the title you can bet Haye will be sorely tempted to return to the ring’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
