Gunn comments on Nakash, Diaz-Kennedy battle tonight, Calderon 108 lbs for pre-weigh in for Segura

Hackensack, NJ (March 25, 2011) – When two-time world title challenger Bobby “The Celtic Warrior” Gunn heard future foe Ran Nakash agreed to face Marco Huck next Saturday in Germany, he understood the unbeaten Israeli’s motive.

Typically, when a fight is built up over a period of time and one man goes in another direction, he is considered to be “ducking” his opponent. However, Gunn understands why Nakash went with the more lucrative opportunity.

“This is a business and he made a smart decision,” said Gunn, a former IBA cruiserweight champion who expected to face Nakash April 30. “I don’t think Nakash ran away from our fight because he is going to make a lot of money and has an opportunity to fight for a world title against Huck. Either way, he was going to take his first loss the next time he fought, so you can’t blame him!”

Gunn, 21-4-1 (17 KO’s), is currently working on a May fight in Atlanta, GA.
