Baltimore, MD- Baltimore Pro Boxing Promotions has taken a step toward the future, and further tailored their team to boxing enthusiasts across the East Coast by naming Matt Yanofsky the new Advisor of Boxing Operations.
Baltimore Pro Boxing , headed by Jake Smith, specializes in bringing a top notch product to hardcore boxing audiences, and catering to a throwback brand of boxing fan. Bringing in Yanofsky to specialize in boxing operations is a fan friendly move, and a future oriented acquisition.
“I am excited to help take Baltimore Pro Boxing Promotions to the next level. There is a lot of talent in this area and Jake has consistently been putting on good local fight cards. It’s going to be a pleasure working with not only a solid promoter but a terrific person in Jake Smith.” Yanofsky noted.
Yanofsky attended York College of Pennsylvania and has worked in multiple facets of the sport. Working as a staff writer for Primer Round magazine before building his own boxing public relations firm in 2007, Yanofsky will utilize a well rounded skill set in working with Baltimore Pro Boxing Promotions.
“I think he brings a lot of things to the plate that pro boxing, and I myself need. More boxing fans will have a chance to know what’s going on straight from boxing people rather than business people trying to make a buck” said Jake Smith, owner of Baltimore Pro Boxing.
On top of handling matters directly related to boxing Yanofsky will also handle public relations matters for Baltimore Pro Boxing. Yanofsky has previously handled public relations for Prize Fight Promotions, Starfight Productions, Seconds Out Promotions and other various promotion firms. Individual athletes Yanofsky currently works for include World title challenger Bobby Gunn, Two time world champion Joan Guzman, and prospects Denis Douglin, and Michael Angelo Perez.
