WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 14, Friday, December 17th at Chicago’s UIC Pavilion!

CHICAGO, IL (November 22, 2010) Tickets are now on sale as 8 Count Productions and CFC Promotions presents WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 14, an action packed evening of world class professional boxing set for Friday night, December 17th at Chicago’s UIC Pavilion.

Starting at $31, tickets can be purchased in advance through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com) the UIC Pavilion Box Office (312-413-5740) and the 8 Count Productions’ Office (312-226-5800). Doors on the evening of the event will open at 7pm with the first bell at 8pm..

Fighting for the IBO International Middleweight Title, longtime Chicago fan favorite Angel “TORO” Hernandez will face off against rugged Ghanaian veteran Osumanu Adama in a twelve round bout.

Former world title challenger Hernandez, 30-8-0 (17KO’s), has fought numerous champions, world ranked contenders and highly regarded prospects over his fourteen year career including Winky Wright, Kassim Ouma, Frankie Randall and most recently engaging in an outstanding battle with Peter Manfredo Jr. on May 22, 2010.

In an epic battle for the ages, Hernandez went to war with highly regarded and undefeated Chicago middleweight prospect Louis Turner on October 13, 2007 at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates , Illinois .

Standing at the center of the ring, Hernandez and Turner drilled each other with massive power shots over the course of the eight round war. At the end of the fight, Hernandez was awarded a unanimous decision, with the fight being listed amongst Dan Rafael’s ESPN “Fight of the Year” honorable mentions.

Adama, 17-2-0 (13KO’s), is coming off an outstanding battle with Chicago fan favorite Donovan George on April 30, 2010. Although losing a very close, hard fought eight round decision, Adama battled evenly with George throughout the bout, which aired on SHOBOX.

Also featured at WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 14 will be perennial welterweight contender “KING” David Estrada. Born and raised in Chicago , Estrada, 24-6-0 (15KO’s), is coming off an excellent stoppage of highly regarded, undefeated prospect Orlando Lora on April 10, 2010 in Rancho Mirage, California .

The win over Lora, broadcast on ESPN2, showed Estrada at his finest, dominating each stanza leading up to the eighth round stoppage. More information on Estrada’s bout will be announced shortly.

Rounding out the undercard in separate bouts at WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 14 include heavy handed cruiserweight contender Carl “IRON FIST” Davis, 14-3-0 (11KO’s), all-action junior welterweight contender Adrian “EL TIGRE” Granados, 4-0-0 (2KO’s), Chicago based junior welterweight newcomers Ramiro Carrillo, 3-0-0 (2KO’s) and Antonio Canas, 3-0-0 (2KO’s), junior middleweight prospect Donatas Bondoravas, 10-1-1 (3KO’s), junior lightweight prospect Evgeny Gradovich, 6-0-0 (5KO’s) and middleweight prospect Lamar Russ, 5-0-0 (5KO’s).
