Mike Mollo Headlines Windy City Fight Night 11, August 6th At Chicago’s UIC Pavilion

CHICAGO, IL (July 2, 2010) Advance tickets are now on sale as heavyweight contender and Chicagoland fan favorite Mike Mollo returns to action at WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 11, set for Friday, August 6th at Chicago’s UIC Pavilion.

Said Pesoli, “We’re very happy to bring Mike back after his terrific win over Billy Zumbrun this past March. He’s in great shape and boxing fans in Chicago are thrilled to have him back fighting in his hometown.”

Mollo won a dominant eight round decision over Zumbrun on March 26th at the UIC Pavilion, his first Chicago area fight in two and half years. The win raised his record to 20-3-0 with twelve knockouts.

The undercard at WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 11 will feature three terrific newcomers to the Chicagoland boxing scene.

Lightweight Antonio Avila makes his fifth straight appearance at the UIC Pavilion, bringing a record of 3-1-0 with one knockout into action. Looking dominant on May 29th, Avila won a four round shutout unanimous decision over David Laque in his last outing.

Light heavyweight prospect Mike “HOLLYWOOD” Jimenez will also return to action at WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 11. The 23 year old Chicagoan started off his professional career with a bang, crushing Cleo Rice III with a brutal first round knockout on June 19th at the UIC Pavilion.

Also returning to battle on the undercard is junior welterweight Genaro Mendez. The Chicagoan made his pro debut on June 19th, looking sensational in a four round unanimous decision over Gabriel Morris.
