On the same card, WBC strawweight champion Oleydong Sithsanerchai will fight Japanese challenger Yasutaka Kuroki in a voluntary defense, and a WBC female championship bout between Momo Koseki of Japan and Gun Joo Shim of South Korea will be contested..

On April 30, one of the greatest double-header championship fights has also been confirmed to take place in Japan. In the main event, WBC bantamweight world champion Hozumi Hasegawa of Japan, who is the longest reigning current champion in any division, will make his eleventh title defense against the most difficult challenge in his career, the tough Mexican Fernando Montiel, who is a three-time world champion.

The fight between Hasegawa and Montiel is a dream match for fight fans around the world and will certainly capture the attention to determine the best bantamweight in the world today.
