Mike Mollo Headlines Windy City Fight Night 9 – March 26

CHICAGO, IL (February 24, 2010) Chicagoland fan favorite, heavyweight Mike Mollo headlines “WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 9”, an outstanding evening of professional boxing, on Friday, March 26th at the UIC Pavilion, it was announced today by Dominic Pesoli’s 8 Count Productions, HOME OF THE BEST IN CHICAGO BOXING. Fighting out of Oak Lawn , Illinois , the 30 year old Mollo, 19-3-0 (12KO’s), is known for his crushing, knockout power in both hands. In his last Chicago area bout, he destroyed fellow contender Art Binkowski with a brutal second round stoppage on October 13, 2007 at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates .

Mollo followed up the knockout of Binkowski with two high profile heavyweight challenges, losing close, hard fought decisions to Jameel McCline and Andrew Golota in 2008.

In another huge win for Mollo, he stopped Mike Tyson conqueror Kevin McBride at the Allstate Arena on October 7, 2006.

Also featured at “WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 9” will be local cruiserweight contender Jason Robinson. A native of Maywood, Illinois, the 34 year veteran southpaw sporting a record of 17-5-0 (11KO’s), is making a comeback following a two and half year absence from the ring.

In his last bout, Robinson stopped fellow veteran Terry Porter in the fifth round on September 7, 2007 in Cicero , Illinois .

The undercard of “WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 9” features an outstanding lineup of Chicagoland’s finest prospects.

Returning to heavyweight action at the UIC Pavilion, David Latoria will look to stay unbeaten, starting his professional career with a record of 4-0-0 (2KO’s). Already a fan favorite in Chicago, Latoria always brings a large and vocal crowd with him during his fights.

Junior welterweight Adrian Granados of Berwyn , Illinois , will also see action in a four round bout at “WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 9”. The 20 year old rising star brings a record of 3-1-0 (2KO’s) into the March 26th bout.

Super bantamweight prospect Sergio Cristobal makes a quick return to action following his action packed four round decision over cross-town rival Sergio Montes de Oca on January 29th at the UIC Pavilion. The win evened the 23 year old Chicago native’s record to 1-1-0.

Also on the undercard of outstanding prospects at “WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 9” is 19 year old featherweight prospect Willie Hernandez. The Chicagoan sports a record of 2-0-0.

Additionally, Chicago based welterweight Efi Perez will make his pro debut in a four round bout.
