Litzau and Kimbrough square-off in a 10-round bout for the vacant NABF title in a much-anticipated showdown that has the potential to be the Fight of the Night. Kimbrough is trying to get where Litzau, who has fought for a world title, has been and plans to return.
The “Hook City” pay-per-view show, presented by Square Ring Promotions in association with Left Hook Promotions and Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, is being distributed by Square Ring Promotions, Inc. at 9:00PM ET/6:00PM PT in the United States on cable and satellite via iNDemand, TVN, DirecTV and Dish Network for a suggested retail price of $34.95, as well as on Super Channel in Canada.

Litzau, fighting out of St. Paul (MN), has already tasted what it’s like to be in a world title fight having lost to IBF featherweight champion Robert Guerrero 1 ½ years ago. Like Kimbrough, the flashy, 26-year-old Litzau was a standout amateur, winning 125 of 135 matches, including a gold medal in the National Silver Gloves Championship, later earning a spot on the 2001 U.S. National Boxing Team.
“Every fight I’m in is exciting,” Litzau said. “There are always fireworks in a Jason Litzau fight. Every fight is an important fight but a win will get me closer to where I was (world title fight). Kimbrough’s a good, quick boxer. I knew him from the amateurs but he was always bigger (weight class) than me. I’m taller (5’ 10” to 5’ 5”) and will take advantage of that by shooting jabs and moving. In the 12-round co-feature for the IBO cruiserweight crown, 2-time world champion Danny “Green Machine” Green (26-3, 23 KOs), the Australian power-puncher rated No. 5 by the WBA, takes on South American light heavyweight title-holder Julio Cesar “La Furia” Dominguez (20-4-1, 14 KOs).
Also on the PPV card, NABO junior heavyweight champion B.J. “El Peligroso” Flores (23-0-1, 14 KOs), rated No. 3 by the WBO and No. 6 by the WBA, defends his belt against former world title challenger Epifanio “Diamente” Mendoza (29-7-1, 25 KOs), the Colombian KO king who has knocked out 25 of his 29 opponents he’s defeated.

Lenroy “TNT” Thomas Heads To “Hook City” Card On August 15
JAMAICAN HEAVYWEIGHT LOOKS TOWARDS BIG SECOND HALF OF 2009
Leaving his hometown Tampa gym after a sweltering workout with former world champion Jeff “LEFT HOOK” Lacy and trainer of champions Dan Birmingham, heavyweight Lenroy “TNT” Thomas declared himself fit and ready for his showdown with veteran Gabe Brown at “HOOK CITY” on Saturday, August 15th at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Said the 24 year old Thomas, “I’ve had a great camp here in Tampa with Jeff and my trainer Dan Birmingham. Seeing how hard Jeff works has truly inspired me and I’m looking forward to putting on a great performance on August 15th.”
The Jamaican born Thomas has lived in Tampa since he was 13. After losing his pro debut three years ago, he has run off twelve wins in a row, eight by knockout. The much more experienced Brown brings a record of 18-10-4 (12KO’s) into their scheduled six rounder.
