Abraham Lopez Heads to Las Vegas, Looks to Continue 1st Rd. KO Streak

LOS ANGELES, CA (July 22, 2008) Espinoza Boxing Club prospect Abraham Lopez heads to the boxing capital of the world, Las Vegas, NV this Friday night, July 25th, as he takes on Cuauhtemoc Mendoza, 5-5-1 (1KO), in a scheduled four round lightweight bout at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Café..

The Lopez/Mendoza bout will take place on the Top Rank promoted SOLO BOXEO TECATE card headlined by a terrific welterweight bout between Jesus Soto-Karass and David Estrada. Ticket information can be obtained by visiting the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino website at www.hardrockhotel.com/las-vegas.

Since turning pro earlier this year, the 20 year old Lopez, from La Puente, California has won his first two professional bouts by first round knockouts.

I also want to see how he handles being in Las Vegas, especially the weekend of the Cotto/Margarito fight.
