Star Boxing to be televised on HDNet

02.11.06 – On November 3, boxing fans can feel “The Heat” as the spectacular firefight between former Olympians Terrance “The Heat” Cauthen and Dante “Inferno” Craig for the USBA Junior Middleweight championship will be broadcast on the HDNet television network. A terrific match-up with world title fight implications for the winner, Olympic Bronze Medalist Cauthen (32-3, 9 KOs) and 2004 US representative Craig (17-5-1, 13 KOs) went to war at an all-star night of Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, New York..

As an added bonus, also showcased on the broadcast will be supporting bouts between the “Kosovo Kid”, cruiserweight Elvir Muriqi and Illinois’ respected veteran Ted Muller, as well as former Olympian Roberto Benitez continuing his climb to ring stardom against England’s Vineash Rungea.

And then on November 10, don’t miss another great 12-round match from the very same evening, featuring the return of TV’s “Contender” star and matinee idol Joey Gilbert (13-1, 9 KOs), as he takes on Kansas City’s rough-and-tumble Keith Sims (25-12-1, 14 KOs) for the NABO Middleweight Championship.

A corporate executive by day and a bone-crunching brawler by night, Gilbert’s style makes for guaranteed excitement every time out and his war with Sims is no exception.

The supporting bout broadcast that night will be a heavyweight showdown between future champion Kevin Johnson and Detroit’s always-tough Demetrice King.

Boxing fans, if you love world-class boxing and non-stop boxing action, don’t miss either thrilling night! Both the November 3 and 10 broadcasts will begin at 9:30 EST.
