Frank Wood’s new July 29th opponent Derrick Brown

BOISE, Idaho (July 20, 2006) – Nashville heavyweight Frank Wood is now scheduled to face New Yorker Derrick “D-Train” Brown on July 29 th in “Hold Nothing Back!” — headlined by the return of five-time world champion Roy Jones, Jr. challenging North American Boxing Organization light heavyweight champion Prince Badi “The Boxing Prince” Ajamu — at the Qwest Arena in Boise, Idaho..

Wood (26-3, 18 KOs), the reigning Mid-South heavyweight title-holder, hasn’t lost in nearly four years, winning his last seven fights in a row. Proposed fights against Chauncy Welliver and Saul Montana fell through and Brown (12-2-1, 10 KOs), managed by former great women’s world champion Christy “Coalminer’s Daughter” Martin, is Wood’s new opponent in a 10-round Special Heavyweight Attraction.

“Hold Nothing Back!” — presented by Xyience, Inc. in association with Sports and Entertainment Media, Inc. — will be broadcast live in North America on cable and satellite PPV beginning at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT.
