( www.WENPPV.com ) will make boxing history on Saturday June 24, 2006 when it broadcasts Live Boxing on various Mobile handheld devices such as Smart Phones, Video Phones and Pocket PC’S as well as Internet Browsers throughout the world. “Fists of Fury” is promoted by Powers Championship Boxing in association with Wireless Events Network Inc. The live event will air at 7:30pm Eastern Standard Time on Saturday June 24, 2006.
The card is scheduled to feature various up and coming as well as local Light Middleweight sensation Eric Deere (6 – 1, 6 KO’s D 1) who is a devastating puncher and one of the best prospects on the Powers Championship Boxing Team. Both Light Heavyweight Ryan Carroll (2-0, 2 KO’s) and Welterweight Mike Siano (2-0, 2KO’s) will attempt to keep their unblemished records alive as they go for their third straight knockouts. In both previous outings Mike Siano has had two impressive first round knockouts.
Also slated to appear is Middleweight Chris Overbey (6-3, 2 KO’s) who is making his first ring appearance since his loss to James McGirt Jr. on February 3, 2006 in Detroit, Michigan. Packing a punch in either hand, Heavyweight sensation James Smith (4-1, 4 KO’s) will return since his last victory over James Hughes whom he stopped on a TKO in the third round.
As a special attraction, Female Heavyweight Gigi Jackson will fight on the card as well. Mike Powers of Powers Championship Boxing said, “She can really fight and hits extremely hard. With the right tra ining and the proper guidance she can be a dominant figure in the Female Heavyweight Division”
Appearing exclusively on “WEN PPV” will be an in-depth interview with newly crowned IBF Featherweight king Eric “Mighty Mouse” Aiken. Aiken recently dethroned former Featherweight Champion Valdemir Pereira on May 13, 2006 via 8 th round disqualification. Aiken will discuss what his fight strategy was going into the Pereira fight and what his immediate plans are. This is Aiken’s first LIVE interview since winning the title.
