Zab Judah & Khalid Jones on N.E. Ringside Radio Show Jan. 27

BOSTON (January 24, 2005) – World welterweight title challenger “Super“ Zab Judah and NABA light heavyweight champion George “Khalid” Jones are Thursday night’s (Jan. 27) special guests on the New England Ringside Boxing Radio Show live on WWZN 1510 The Zone in Boston.. The two-hour New England Ringside Boxing Radio Show – hosted by Ted Bodenrader, Anthony Pepe, Rick Brutti and Joe Bills — airs every Thursday night between 6-8 pm (ET) on The Zone: Boston’s Boxing Station at 1510 AM and also may be heard live on the Internet by going to www.newenglandringside.com.

Judah (32-2, 23 KOs), fighting out of Brooklyn, challenges undisputed world welterweight champ Cory Spinks in their much-anticipated rematch February 5 in St. Louis. Spinks won a close 12-round decision last April versus Judah, who floored Cory in the last round.

Former IBF junior welterweight champion Judah’s two career losses have been to Spinks and the great Kosta Tszyu. Zab, however, has beaten world-class opponents such as Micky Ward, Jan Bergman, Junior Whitter, Terron Millett, Reggie Green, Allan Vester, Omar Weiss, and DeMarcus Corley to name a few of the more notables.

Jones (20-2-1, 13 KOs), rated as the No. 4 light heavyweight by the WBA, is scheduled to headline NER Promotions’ inaugural show February 25 in Lowell (Mass.) against Thomas Reid (33-14-1, 13 KOs). Fighting out of Patterson, New Jersey, Jones is also rated in the top 20 by the WBO (12), IBF (13) and WBC (17). His only losses have been to Montell Griffin and Eric Harding. Two years ago, Jones captured the NABA light heavyweight title with a unanimous 12-round decision against Rodney Moore.
