Clottey’s only career setback was a controversial disqualification loss to Carlos Manuel Baldomir at Wembley Arena in London on November 29, 1999.

The monthly series featuring New York City fighters made its debut on April 22 at the Grand Ballroom at Manhattan Center. The show will be broadcast by HDNet in high definition and on Madison Square Garden Network, and throughout New England on standard cable. DiBella Entertainment is in discussions with regional sports networks to distribute the show nationally.

The cards will originate from venues in the five boroughs, the greater New York Metropolitan Tri-State area, and Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Mohegan Sun is the series site sponsor. HBO, Everlast Worldwide, and Gallagher’s Steak House are sponsors.
